It's kind of funny though: the lithographs go from 1 to 150 in a matter of minutes. People just don't know how to bid. :dozey: Yeah, but there's also something dodgy going on. I did a little research today (my post is mid-way on page 98) and found one of the 'bidders' is new and in fact bid on almost everything in the auction with a starting bid of at least 50 pounds unless someone beat them too it. If they didn't get the first bid, they bid to increase the price of the item. Their bidding history lists them as 100% bidding on the items in this auction and nothing else EVER, so something's VERY fishy indeed!!

Doubt that Coldplay themselves would be involved in any shenanigans --- but some bidder may be just bidding up items, knowing/expecting that they will be outbid eventually. Jay Leno on the Tonight Show used to show almost 'value-less' items that ended up being bid to over a million dollars. It often proved to just be a faux-bidder, who had no intention of actually following through with the purchase. I would really hate to think this might happen here, as Coldplay are doing a tremendous job of raising needed money for charity!

December 20, 200916 yr How do Americans bid on it? :confused: vveeddddddddddddddddddyyy carefully No really, though, go to plain ebay, doesn't have to be the UK ebay. 2 of the items won't show up though (the pianos, since those can't be shipped). You still have to place your bid in British pound increments, but it will display the U.S. dollar conversion.
December 20, 200916 yr I just read your post and that really sucks! :angry: Stupid evil person... Well, it appears I'm one of the "100% people", but I'm not the evil one. I've never used ebay before this. I just bid a couple of items to try to get in the first bid, nothing high though, but I might actually try for them in the end. So at least you can feel a little bit of comfort that not all of the "100% people" are evil investors. :tongue:

December 20, 200916 yr ahhh! the BINs are making me a crazy woman! yesterday evening while i was napping, I dreamt that I had won one. I was so relieved when I woke up, cos I thought I needn't worry anymore, and I could concentrate on my exams, but alas I woke up and realized it was a dream. Plus, in the dream, I won a lithograph from the X&Y era, which makes it highly less realistic, seeing that they have yet started that wave of the auction. It's quite funny actually...it turns out in real life, they sold the Don't Panic lithograph during the time of my nap. that would be pretty cool if my dream and the actual selling happened simultaneously :laugh2:
