So far:

Uruguay vs Ghana

Argentina vs Germany

someone needs to stage a coup on FIFA. I'd love to see the percentage chance of the final being ruined by missed offsides and disallowed goals like we saw today. It's really pathetic.

What a truly horrific performance. Probably the worst defensive performance from that England side in a long long long time. They looked utterly clueless. Terry, Johnson and Upson looked amateur. A win against Germany was always going to be based upon a good solid defence. It was far from it.

And that Uruguayan referee and his assistant - bye bye. Maybe it's the best time to say that he was banned for 6 months for corruption following serious irregularities in his refereeing. Wouldn't be surprised if the two worthless ****s of human beings were found hanging from a lamp post tommorow morning.

Jorge Larrionda the referee - the T WA T breeds parrots in his spare time the complete tool. And what's the name of that other **** on the touchline? Their mums and dads were probably brothers and sisters the compete shits that they are.

Hey, stop saying shit about the referees! You're the worthless **** of human being as you can't stop insulting them! YES it was goal, they made an awful mistake and they should be banned but as you said before, they are human beings, not computers. We all make mistakes. Blame FIFA and Blatter instead.

Besides, England played really bad and it wouldn't made a difference if the goal was counted. Congratulations, you lost 4 - 2! ;)

As I said, as bad as the officiating was, they are the real villains. Decisions like that make a mockery of the sport, particularly when technology is now used in most other sports.:(

Yes, they are two completely separate issues. England could easily have been 4-0 behind by the time they scored their first goal. Their defending was abysmal.

And WTF did Ashley Cole have to laugh about as he stepped off that plane? He should have been hanging his head in shame!:veryangry2:

The fact of the matter is that neither game was decided by the officiating. Germany clearly outplayed England, and Argentina clearly outplayed Mexico.

That's irrelevant. This is about the reputation of the game, which is now rapidly descending into farce.:dozey:

Something needs to be done immediately before the damage is irreparable.:(

Well England was starting to control the game until they disallowed the goal and Mexico was clearly dominating before the goal, but I guess you can't balme completely the referees, both victories were fair. The problem is that if a victory is not fair, then there will be more controversy.

Agreed, and this is why I was hoping Argentina would score more. I HATE it when my team wins a game and it wasn't deserved. Maybe if Mexico had stayed composed, they could have come back.

Germany was outplaying England, but it's very plausible that the urgent need to equalize pushed up the English defenders and contributed to Germany's ability to counter-attack the way they did, twice. In any case, even one mistake is reason enough to institute some kind of replay or the ability for a tower referee to overrule.

That still doesn't excuse the way they kept giving the ball away, and the kamikaze defending.:dozey:

Why can't the English ever lose in football with any dignity?

If the England team had lost the game playing well, or even gone out on penalties again, the reaction would have been a different one.

However, the way they capitulated in the second half was a disgrace.

I didn't even watch it as I don't support England-saw a few highlights earlier, but it's the way some of the fans behave that puts me off more than the players themselves.

The fact is the German team played better football, they deserved to win and they did.

Congratulations to Germany

To be fair on England they rarely rarely lose by a big scoreline but they rarely make impact at the big tournaments which is sheer wrong considering the amount of kids play the game and the coverage it gets in the country. Nothing to do with the manager! Those spouting for the call for an English manager never changed anything last time out and only made it worse! Capello undoubtedly showed a greater passion, knowledge and determination of his job than the previous 6 managers combined yet despite being a truly great manager - still can't do any better. It's time for people to wake up and smell the coffee that it's not the manager.

It's EVERYTHING to do with the players. Yeah sure Capello made mistakes, but it's not as though they were critical errors. He told these players to go out and play to his instructions but they didn't. The best players in this world do EXACTLY what the manager tells them to. Unfortunately for England, these guys aren't the best players in the world and they are a long long way from it. They lack intelligence, they lack realism. They are complete flops.

The English media and fans scour over such results like todays with such intensity but you bet, come August BOTH will be drooling over the latest big money foreign signing for a club like Man Utd and the form of the likes of Rooney and Terry while the overall English game goes entirely unnoticed. It's sheer fickleness. One minute they are CRYING out for a restructuring of the game in England, and the next minute they are endorsing the very reasons why England fail time and again on the international stage. As long as nothing is done, nothing will change. End of.

They did not play as the powerful team they are, I think it was an effortless game for both teams, which annoys me, Argentina did not play at its top nor Mexico, let's see how they perform now that they encounter a good team because they have only played against weak teams thus far.

But what it really annoys me is that the moron of Maradonna will succeed, and not because of his incredible tactical skills but for the individual quality of his player. It

There's a rumour that says that, in the Argentina vs. Mexico match, after the assistant looked at the big screen and realized, the referee refused to change his decision.

Nice, innit?

I think it was clear :D

You're right. You can't keep blaming the manager. It's about time the players put their hands up and admitted they just aren't good enough at the highest level.

Being able to beat teams like Slovenia just isn't good enough.:dozey:
