FINISHED! SOUTH AFRICA 2010 WORLD CUP!!

The game has slowed down after a frantic start, if there isn't a goal midway through the second half wouldn't be surprised to see both teams not risk too much and it ending in a draw.

Spain to win - only European side that will make it to the semis. I hope they win the overall tournament.

Argentina will beat Germany. Germany's inexperience will tell eventually especially that goalkeeper Neuer who against England was all over the place at times (not as bad as England's all over the place defence though!). I think he could do something stupid especially with the vast array of attacking geniuses Argentina have on show. Mascherano will probably CRUNCH Ozil out of the game. Best defensive midfielder in the game and probably Argentina's most crucial player.

Agreed about Mascherano. He's great! He's pretty much the main reason Argentina has kept their goals against so low. I see you're finally starting to like Argentina a bit ;)

Being a Liverpool fan it's easy for me to praise Mascherano! :D

Against Mexico I was impressed because although they could have conceded a couple more against Mexico they genuinly look like that side who could win the tournament based on their mentality that is 'if you score 3 we'll score 4'. One fixture which I dearly love to see in the tournament is Argentina v Spain. That could be an incredible match which could end 4-3, either side because I'm looking at Spain at the moment and their defence isn't perfect, but not disastrous but more than good enough for Argentina to split open. ;)

I'm afraid on this occasion, Portugal were definitely Poortugal. Spain were far better.;)

I think Portugal played really good during the first part of the game, and for this time Ronaldo played with his team... But after Villa's goal, Spain dominated and Portugal just couldn't recover.

Well after Spain scored, they seemed to be completely clueless.:dozey:

I just wonder if Torres will hit the spot in this World Cup. It would be nice to see some goals of him again!

Yet another world-class player failing to live up to expectations so far. What on earth is happening?

Well, he had a knee operation in January I think... But he should be okay at this point.

So what's Rooney's excuse?:dozey:

we have a bad coach :disappointed: i dont get a piece of soccer, but seems he never does the right choices :bigcry:

I was surprised that Portugal played as well as they did. I thought it was going to end like, 4-0 or something. They did well, feel sorry they have to go home... but Spain's just unstopable.

Under-fire England boss Fabio Capello arrived back in Britain today with his players after their disastrous World Cup campaign.

But within hours the £6million-a-year manager had jetted off again on holiday with his wife.

Rather than staying at home to face the wrath of England fans after the team's worst-ever World Cup defeat on Sunday, the 64-year-old Italian grabbed his bags and headed for a break.

:D Well, with no intention to understimate Iker Casillas best goalkeeper of the world, I gotta say Portugal's goalkeeper is incredible! This is the first goal he couldn't stop in this world cup, and too bad he's got to leave because of it.
