Politik, really??? They played it at every concert for the past three tours and it's one of Martin's favourites...

I agree with Crests of Waves; Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant... I would like to add See you soon; A Spell A Rebel Yell; Don Quixote; Life is for Living; 1'36. And I think Viva la Vida is, on Coldplaying, underrated!!

When I first got into Coldplay, the first song I really really liked besides "Clocks" and their more famous tunes was "Daylight." I loved that song.

Of course, then I went on to get all their albums and I realized almost every song of theirs is amazing. But anyways, I never seem to hear anybody mention Daylight as one of their favorite Coldplay songs.

Other underrated songs include:

Prospekt's March/Poppyfields

Swallowed by the Sea

Death and All His Friends/The Escapist

Amsterdam

On the other hand, though, among all us Coldplay fans, a lot of these songs may not seem underrated just because we are all so familiar with them!

SPARKS. SPARKS. SPARKS.

It's not my favorite Coldplay song, but it's one I don't see talked about much at all. I've seen a live video or two of it (not many exist), and it's drop-dead gorgeous.

I saw that song live twice, and it was beautiful  it's definitely a great song

Things I Don't Understand is one of those songs that I listen to and ask myself, "how in the hell was this left of the album?" Im not saying that it should have been a single but I do think that it would have made a perfect album track in both theme and sound. In the end though the band left it off and I guess that is what makes it so special to me... a hidden gem and an amazing extra to the X&Y era when Im in the mood to revisit those days.

If you have not heard this track yet I highly recommend it (especially if you love X&Y)

Prospekt's March/Poppyfields should be on there!

God! How did I ever forget that one! It's definitely one of their best songs, and IMO it should have been a single , along with Glass Of Water! They deserved videos.

Hahahaha I know, I get it, Politik is played every time but I believe it should have been a single. AROBTTH should have had at least 2 more singles. Not that the 4 ones weren't already perfect though.

And yeah I agree about See You Soon. :)

And Viva La Vida is underrated here. It is such a unique song, I still get chills when I hear it.

Daylight is indeed amazing. :)

Damn, I should have made an "overrated songs" thread instead, I seem to like so many of their songs :)

I agree about Death and all his friends, Swallowed in the Sea and Prospekt's March :awesome:

Overrated songs? Mhh hard to say, and it could start Coldplaying's WW1... :D But great idea :D I would say Clocks (please dont hurt me :escaping:)

yup, yup, that's another.

I used to be guilty of skipping it,

but lately I've really been getting into quality bass lines and this is up there.

Though their best bass line is 'Everything's not lost'

Seems like we have a similar taste I would also agree to A whisper, it has such a dynamic instrumentalization and the focus is not on Chris' voice for a change.

all of the ones I agree with have been said before

Sparks ... mmmmm its like a waltz, slow, soft, beautiful .... Its the 4th most played song on my itunes library.

See You Soon ...Another underrated favorite that I adore..... The lyrics fot me perfectly to.

Swallowed in the Sea ... is one of those songs that start out kinda slow but oh man.... when it picks up in the middle!!! >.<

A Message

One of their best love songs for sure <3

Crests of Waves

Love <3

Green Eyes

...even if I didnt have green eyes I would love this song as much as I do

Its kinda like... folk music ... which I also love :nice:

whenever I felt like crap I'd play it and pretend it was about me. Always made me feel better.

Now My Feet Wont Touch The Ground

So simple, peaceful, beautiful

I wouldve liked VLV a whole lot more if this was on it.
