A couple of months ago I travelled to Philippines with a friend and we stayed in Manila the first night, in one of the poorest neighbourhoods there apperantly.

We went out to find a supermarket and we found a good one under a building. Not long after we entered I couldn't believe what I heard from the speakers, one of my favourite songs of all time, Warning Sign! :shocked2:

 

To hear it in that shop, in that part of the city, was pretty surreal :D

The kitchen in our staff room isn't that weird because we do have a radio in there... the fact that the middle-aged lady that cleans it was singing along to Speed of Sound this morning is though :P

A few months ago I heard What If in a pretty fancy shoe store. I went in because of the music and then immediately out, because the salesman stared at me like 'you don't belong here'.

I'm going to respond in my own thread!....on the weekend my littlest guy was running in his second 5K. They were playing event appropriate songs....

 

...stuff with 'running' or 'time' etc. in the title....

 

.... about 2 minutes before he hit the finish 'Clocks' started on the PA system....

He crossed at "Home, home, where I wanted to go...."

 

I thought it was a perfect moment for him and his CP loving mama!

I don't think this has happened to me before...

 

I was out to lunch today and shortly after we got there, we heard In My Place (the live version, which was surprising). Then halfway through the meal they played Violet Hill. And as we were paying the bill, Shiver came on. :freak: I've never heard that many Coldplay songs in one place in that short of a timeframe.

 

The odd thing?... it was a Mexican restaurant. Usually you hear, you know, Mexican music in a Mexican restaurant, not oodles of Coldplay!

Talk came on while I was shopping for clothes in a really big store and one of the cashiers yelled,"yes!!!!!", and started to dance and sing along. It made my day :)

Olawd... I wish that stuff happened to me lol. Anyways, apparently I have some musically talented neighbors that moved across the street a little while ago and they were outside on the porch playing some acoustic songs and singing. They ended up playing 'Trouble' and I instinctively shouted through my window in excitement, something along the lines of "I LOVE YOU" and "RABBLENAFIAJFSFDASIFASIIFJAIFSFJDSP". HOHO. Yes, quite.

not so random place, but the other day while in the latin shop in my neigbourhood the radio they had played ETIAW.

I was walking with my friends in a park when i heard life in technicolor (the album version) from a coffee house. When we want back they played 42 so i guess they played the whole vlv album. It must be a great place :lol:

I heard ETIAW at Asda today! (UK version of Walmart) It was really faint at first but then it got louder so I yelled to my mum : "OMG I knew it was Coldplay!"

 

A couple of girls looked at me all weird though. :inquisitive:

I was walking in a shopping center when, while going past a shoe store, I heard something that seemed familiar coming from inside there... "I bet it's ETIAW!", I thought. My dad was far behind be, so I stopped and took a few steps inside the store... It really was ETIAW!

Luckily the shop assistants ignored me... While my dad was staring at me:

 

Dad: :stunned: what's the matter?

 

I: Come here, listen! *he comes in* :awesome: it's Coldplay! :smug:

 

Dad: :blank: And you went in because of that? :dozey:

 

Anyway I was in a hurry and the song was ending so I went out almost immediately...

I'm at Macy's, and I'm listening to Charlie Brown on my iPod. I turn a corner and see a TV is on and the Clocks music video is playing. I was like WTF PARADOX!
