Most random place you've heard a CP song?

Featured Replies

I was in a tiny shop in Barcelona that sold wallets, pocket knives, funnny little bags and things when Sparks suddenly comes out of some speakers. :stunned: I think it was played from a docked iPod. It was awesome.

I've heard Coldplay in lots of shops. Particularly in my former local H&M; like every other time I was there.

One time I was in a dressing room in H&M to try on a mainly yellow dress when ETIAW suddenly comes on. Needless to say, the dress was perfect and I bought it. :)

In a break at my high school I've heard Lost! blasted through the door of one of the classrooms. Usually there would never be anyone playing music through speakers.

I've been to a clothing shop in Covent Garden that played the whole VLVODAAHF album. I was so glad my sister tried on clothes so I could stay there for a while and mouth the lyrics. :P

I heard what if, See you Soon and X&Y playing (in row) in speakers in my flat yesterday!

and it was NOT me ! My not-that-close friend/ flat-mate seems to love Coldplay

I was playing ultimate frisbee in my phys ed class when Clocks started playing from the gym speakers! And Viva La Vida followed. Of course, Crazy Train by Ozzy came after that.

There's a car often parked in front of my house with its number plate starting with CK :D

I heard Paradise while I was in mine in front of that one :P

I'm a huge fan of Nascar, and I often catch snippits of Coldplay when TV goes away to commercial. Clocks was very common when NBC was covering races. Also have heard Speed Of Sound, Talk, Viva La Vida, Square One, Yellow ( all between Fox, ESPN, NBC, Speed and TNT, but Fox seems to be most common, I swear whoever chooses songs for cutaways is a Coldplay fan). Recently on ESPN have been hearing ETIAW, Paradise and yesterday on their 'Nascar Now' show I heard Don't Let It Break Your Heart!

Last Sunday I was at a basketball match in my town (Casale Monferrato)

Our team is in the 1st divsion of Italian basketball and sadly we lost that match.

But, since they played Charlie Brown during the half time, the defeat didn't taste so bitter :wacky:

Well... ETIAW, ETIAW remix (I'm shocked) and Paradise... in H&M store. Someone is secret fan of Coldplay there, teehee.

Also I found on my friend's mp3... Viva la Vida and Violet Hill. It was surprising because he only listens to hard rock... well... okay.

And I was waiting for a bus and I've heard The Scientist in someone's car... That was nice.

I have heard Twisted Logic in a restaurant, A Whisper in a shopping mall and Up In Flames on an advert for a TV programme about obese people  I was very surprised to hear the first two as they are two of the least popular CP songs

The Hardest Part in a Serbian plastic surgery TV show (like Dr. 90210). :D

at Victoria's Secret fashion show 2011 backstage video, they played Every Teardrop is A Waterfall.

OK, I've just heard Viva La Vida in a cooking show. :D

And last week, they played the same song, when Novak Djokovic won a tournament in Abu Dhabi...

I guess I'm not giving weird examples, but I'm a new fan(atic) and it's still pretty exciting hearing their songs anywhere...

Heard Paradise at the grocery store, was tempted to bust a move out in public

It doesn't really count as a place, but once I was watching American Idol and Life In Technicolor II started playing during a montage of footage from auditions :D

I heard Princess of China yesterday in my local fitness gym, it was weird and great all at the same time.

I heard Coldplay on my boyfriends phone....... THATS RANDOM FOR ME!

Nah I was upset so he played and sang Paradise to me :)

10 minutes ago in a bookstore. Well, thats not very surprising, more the choice. It was What If. Never heard that one in public before.

I heard The Scientist play at the end of Criminal Minds (For non-americans which makes up a lot of you, Criminal Minds is the best show EVARRR). The funniest though was last Sunday I was in church and Paradise accidentally started playing through the speakers as we were about to pray. I managed to keep myself together till service let out (Although the song was stuck in both mine and the pastors head till the end) but the second I got out the door I nearly died laughing!

On Thanksgiving my friends and I all sat down at the table and one of them announced they were going to say Grace. We all held hands and bowed our heads and just as my friend began saying the prayer, we heard "In my place, in my place...were lines that I couldn't change..." playing softly. Everyone looked up and around. I was asked if I was getting a text. My cell phone was turned off. So then we all sit back down at the table and began trying to say Grace again. "Don't ever say you're on your way down when..." we could hear God Put a Smile Upon Your Face playing quietly. So then we all got back up to investigate. Nothing. We all sat back down and swore to say Grace if it killed us. My friend began once again, and then we could hear, "Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry, you don't know how lovely you are..." playing quietly. NOW THE SCIENTIST WAS PLAYING!! We were all like, "What the fudge?!" Finally, I realized my iPod was in my back pocket, playing the Rush of Blood to the Head album, and it was turned up so loud, it was able to be heard clearly through the earbuds...without being in your ears!! The mystery was then solved and we all still laugh about it to this day!!! :D

Heard Speed Of Sound on a clothes store a couple of weeks ago, and LiTii on the same store the week after....I guess they like Coldplay.

Heard Charlie Brown on the radio as we were driving through Mombasa at a million miles an hour trying to reach our hotel to take photos of the finish of the Safari Rally I was at last November.... great fun! :D

This local coffee shop has constantly been playing Mylo Xyloto since it was released. Out of the three or four times I visit a week, I'd say three of the days Mylo Xyloto is being played.

Up in flames in the last episode of The Vampire Diaries !!! that surprised me :o specially that the scene didn't even fit into the song

or should I say the song didn't fit into the scene :D
