June 3, 201115 yr I travelled yesterday and played some Coldplay cds for making some kind of a wait for the single haha.

June 3, 201115 yr I'm going to bed soon. When I wake up in about 10 hours, I expect this thread to be at least a thousand posts longer. And yeah, I'll probably listen to the single. Because, you know, I've only been anticipating future material since 2008. Hoping for the best in the morning, and the good news is that by the time I finally wake up, Coldplay.com and Coldplaying will both have died down from the inevitable server meltdowns that occur upon the song's release.

June 3, 201115 yr Just got home from work. It's 1 a.m. U.S. Central Time, only 5 hours to go! I'm going to try to sneak in a nap and wake up at 5:30 to hear Every Teardrop is A Waterfall at 6 a.m. Then I'll probably go back to sleep after that :P.

June 3, 201115 yr All I'm saying is that it better be good :L It's been 3 bloody years, and to be 100% honest I was disappointed with christmas lights. The lyrics to this song are a wee bit cliched, but they're pretty good. I'm sure the music will make up for it, if it sounds like what I'm imagining, it'll be bloody brilliant! :)

I'm thinking it's going to be sort of The Fireman-esque with a bit of afro-pop. Hopefully Jonny will shine out in this, cause didn't Chris say something like that in a recent interview?

I remember him mentioning that Johnny has really come into his own this time and that he has not held back or something like that. It can only mean better songs altogether!

But Jonny would have a much larger influence on the entire album as well they said. But with everything we've heard so far, I can't imagine there'll be a lot of guitar in it, with ETIAW being dancy and all...
