But of course! :sneaky:

And some baggy pants that can *accidentally* fall down once in a while. :wink3:

I would say its a connection because "Rebel song" and the Comma and fullstop is a metaphor.

The Rebels rather move slower than having a full stop.

Ok thanks. I already thought the same and interpreted it in that direction but from the post it seemed to me like there was a stronger connection to it than this metaphor.

I see a connection of this song with the most famous song of Gil Scott-Heron (who died yesterday) "The revolution will not be televised". The lyrrics are as follows:

You will not be able to stay home, brother.

You will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out.

You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and skip,

Skip out for beer during commercials,

Because the revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox

In 4 parts without commercial interruptions.

The revolution will not show you pictures of Nixon

blowing a bugle and leading a charge by John

Mitchell, General Abrams and Spiro Agnew to eat

hog maws confiscated from a Harlem sanctuary.

The revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be brought to you by the

Schaefer Award Theatre and will not star Natalie

Woods and Steve McQueen or Bullwinkle and Julia.

The revolution will not give your mouth sex appeal.

The revolution will not get rid of the nubs.

The revolution will not make you look five pounds

thinner, because the revolution will not be televised, Brother.

There will be no pictures of you and Willie May

pushing that shopping cart down the block on the dead run,

or trying to slide that color television into a stolen ambulance.

NBC will not be able predict the winner at 8:32

or report from 29 districts.

The revolution will not be televised.

There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down

brothers in the instant replay.

There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down

brothers in the instant replay.

There will be no pictures of Whitney Young being

run out of Harlem on a rail with a brand new process.

There will be no slow motion or still life of Roy

Wilkens strolling through Watts in a Red, Black and

Green liberation jumpsuit that he had been saving

For just the proper occasion.

Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies, and Hooterville

Junction will no longer be so damned relevant, and

women will not care if Dick finally gets down with

Jane on Search for Tomorrow because Black people

will be in the street looking for a brighter day.

The revolution will not be televised.

There will be no highlights on the eleven o'clock

news and no pictures of hairy armed women

liberationists and Jackie Onassis blowing her nose.

The theme song will not be written by Jim Webb,

Francis Scott Key, nor sung by Glen Campbell, Tom

Jones, Johnny Cash, Englebert Humperdink, or the Rare Earth.

The revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be right back after a message

bbout a white tornado, white lightning, or white people.

You will not have to worry about a dove in your

bedroom, a tiger in your tank, or the giant in your toilet bowl.

The revolution will not go better with Coke.

The revolution will not fight the germs that may cause bad breath.

The revolution will put you in the driver's seat.

The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised,

will not be televised, will not be televised.

The revolution will be no re-run brothers;

The revolution will be live.

Speculation on what the MX on the website means, of course

Forgot to say that the melody and rhythm on this song maybe nothing you ever expected to hear before from them (and it's just speculation)

Do you know anything about the single right now? More than we know? (Could just be a yes/now answer or sth like: Heard it, know when it comes out, etc)

Ok thanks. I already thought the same and interpreted it in that direction but from the post it seemed to me like there was a stronger connection to it than this metaphor.

I just guess!

it could be wrong

But thats what i see in the lyrics.

oh, so you are thinking of it in terms of... like, whiny, typical teenagers or something, right? :P

but i see it more as revolutionary/people being oppressed, kinda like Violet Hill...

I'd think that if the lyrics were deeper but it sounds so... simple :blank:

Great vid, but they shoudnt put it during champions league final

Wow, great video :D Anxious to know more now!

It will only be a few days until we know the whole song I guess!

No, I'm sorry...

But I don't think it'll be on Monday, that's all I can say (but maybe Tuesday or Wednesday)

Maybe first single is a collaboration song with a rapper....

I have no clue how you guys come up with that Rapperthingy

:laugh3: I'm sure it's not actually a rap! But for some reason the lyrics (the ones from today, anyway) sound rap-pish to me!

No, I'm sorry...

Thanks =)

It's not rap.

If they had a rapper on their album... it would be devastating.

I don't think the rest of them would let Chris pull that shit.

Even Chris wouldn't pull that shit.

I can say that the single won't be out on Tuesday and Wednesday :D

I also think that it sounds like a rap or techno :D

It definitely "sounds" like a rap.

Thanks foxeh, so we all agree :)

Well you know it was just a strong feeling ^^ The lyrics are about rebellion, about something that has the power to gather a generation and shouldn't die... But like I said it's just the feeling!

I can't hear any sound!

Turn it reaaaaaaally loud! :p

No.

That's the song I'm talking about.

Can someone embed it?

And speculatively....can you say if this is something that is to your personal taste...something you'd enjoy?
