^^^I maintain they don't "have" to do anything. At most, I think they'd be *somewhat* obligated to give us a clearer idea about when the album is coming out, i.e., a month. I'm thinking September, maybe. But yeah, it might be likely to hear an album name as well, if they're going to do a release of any kind this week.

I used to think that they would not release anything before the end of the festival tour, but now I think we might get a song before or during the festival tour

+ You say that a single now and the album in autumn is quite common.

But Violet Hill was released in May and VLVODAAHF in June (same with X&Y)

Common for music releases, not Coldplay, per se. They don't have to follow the same plan as they have with their other albums, especially since they're more popular than ever, really.

And maybe not even "common," but certainly within the realm of possibility and acceptability. I meant it's possible for a band to release a single two months or more before an album without a concrete release date announced for the album itself.

so excited

Me too

I wonder why this one was so much different than the other ones...

Me too, but I feel like I can almost hear music as the words are being written in the video. I guess thats why. For me, at least.

EDIT: ^ haha, maybe I actually did!

I am now very, very excited.

And I don't know why, but that last one did the trick. Coldplay has officially made me one of the happiest people on earth.

:D

(okay maybe I'm exaggerating, but still! Props to you, Coldplay)

 I'm trying to imagine, but it's not working... :(

But I can definately "hear" the music quality that these lyrics bear.

This is definitely the intro to the new single. If you listen closely on high volume you can hear a beat developing in the background, building up.

:uhoh: Don't know if anybody's done it already but here's the enhanced sound of the video:

You don't have to download it, you can listen with the player below the download link. :)

My Bass is so tremendous in that one nearly kills my Windows.

^ ^I tried that, but then someone posted it enhanced, so I can hear it now.

It does sound like that. Sort of like the intro to Prospekt's March/Poppyfields, but not really. It's lighter.

i posted this in one of the other threads, but i suppose it would do better here :P

the sound that is playing in the newest video sounds like it could lead into what is played at the beginning of the Studiofeed video...

Ergh. The suspense of all this is killing me. I just want LP5 to be out now. None of this teasing. My poor ticker can't take any more!
