September 12, 201114 yr ^I thought the same when I read that :( I think "ok" , a little bit mgmt sound but worse (imo) his vocals are mixed too much too the front :/ HATE the chorus , "pa- pa - paradice" , Really ? :disappointed:
September 12, 201114 yr Can someone change Coldplay's Wikipedia entry to say "Years active 1996-2011"? Because they've clearly died.
September 12, 201114 yr HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I took a screenshot before someone changes it back. :D
September 13, 201114 yr SOMEONE PLEASE UPLOAD THEIR SCREENSHOT TO IMAGESHACK OR TINYPIC OR SOMETHING PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
September 13, 201114 yr Oh man, this thread is alive again? :cheesy: I've never disliked a Coldplay song more than I dislike "Paradise." I still actually like ETIAW because it's fun and it just kind of makes me happy, but I feel like beyond the style and vibe of "Paradise" (which just plain old aren't for me)...it's just a boring, meandering, repetitive song that sounds just like everything else that's on Top 40 radio right now. I feel like it sounds like they wrote it and released it as a single as something they knew would appeal to the masses, which is beyond disappointing. I'm back on the major worry-front for MX as a whole. I haven't even been able to listen to their older stuff that I love because it's made me a bit sad. I can't believe the same band that wrote a song like "Amsterdam" did "Paradise." At least I could hear a bit of themselves shining through on ETIAW, but not "Paradise."

While I'm not a fan of ETIAW, I can atleast get the feeling that Coldplay had fun making that song. Paradise feels so forced.
September 13, 201114 yr It's like they pissed on all of the Viva butterflies, painted them blue, and re-packaged them. I wouldn't mind MX being one song shorter and still including ETIAW.
September 13, 201114 yr I remember seeing this thread after ETIAW was released and saying "oh, the song isn't that good, but I think it's still too quick to make a big deal about the album" and such. How I was so horribly, horribly wrong. :bigcry:
September 13, 201114 yr Haha, I was in class and never posted the screenshot. You spelled dead wrong...
September 13, 201114 yr You spelled dead wrong... It's also the wrong form of "they're", now that I take a closer look. :laugh3:
