This thread has gone a little insane. 20 pages of bashing and criticism and the song hasn't even come out yet.

Sorry, but we're all working on the same stuff: lyrics and a couple of pics. Just like I'm not judging those who are claiming it's gonna be their biggest single I don't see why I should be judged for remaining on the fence and not jumping into utter love for everything they'll ever do.

What's worse? To have an opinion or finger point at people for not sharing your own?

Excuse me :shocked2: , can you say the moment where I said . " YOU CAN'T BE SAYING THIS ; YOU CAN'T EXPRESS YOURSELVES " ?

I did not say that though. I couldn't care less if you are excited for it lol. I just mentioned that the thread is like the definition of pressed. Dedicating a thread to a band you Hate/Don't like . 20 pages in a few hours is kinda sick. I didn't see Coldplayer's or other people creating threads about Radiohead's albums ( leave alone singles :laugh3: ) or U2 . They certanely don't waste time with that :)

I will admit I'm interested and looking forward to the new song, though I'm not expecting much from it.

Basically the fact that there is 20+ pages of hating towards coldplay for a song that hasn't even been released kinda shows that. And please don't come to me with the " It's criticisim " thing cause it's not lol . I'm fine with people not liking the song , I might not like it but it only takes to look through the first page to realize the hate there is :confused:

However, there's a huge difference between hating lyrics and hating a song, and there's an even bigger difference between hating a song and hating a band. They aren't the same thing. Sadly, people like you don't seem to grasp this concept.

After reading those, it should be obvious that we are partaking in the act of criticism, not hatred. Look at the third definition of criticism. That happens to be exactly what we're doing. Your theory about this not being about criticism has just been quashed.

Criticism isn't about being positive. If it was, it wouldn't be a critique, and people wouldn't know how to improve things. I'm sorry that you can't get past the fact that people are talking about what they think is wrong with the lyrics as opposed to what they like. That's not our problem. If you can't handle it, then you don't have to be here. You say you don't care, but clearly you do, because you make a point to talk about what we're doing constantly. You are being rather irrational, honestly.

Criticism isn't about being positive. If it was, it wouldn't be a critique, and people wouldn't know how to improve things. One more thing - I brought this up way back when early song titles were being rumored for LP5, but if the song were simply titled "Teardrops", it would probably be getting less flack in its pre-release state. Parachutes had simple song titles. They work.
