If any of you coldplayers have some advice to change this cover in any way, then go ahead. I am such a perfectionist, and I always have some little detail that I think is incorrect and I need to change. If you guys can point some out then I can change it to resemble a studio version.

Really, the lyrics doesn't matter for me when I hear this great, great song... but when I read the lyrics it makes the whole song a bit more epic than before.

See, to me it's hard to not already view this song as the album's theme song. Spray cans, graffiti, catchy poppy beat. I dunno, Paradise must be really good.

Yeah im expecting Paradise to be unreal, but as regards Hurts Like Heaven -

it seems to fit the theme of the album more then any of the new songs we have heard,

and its the song I want to see included when Mylo Xyloto's tracklist is revealed!!

Just a filler until the real studio version arrives along with the masterpiece album.

I honestly believe the lyrics to both this song and Us Against the World are some of the best from Coldplay in awhile. :) I'm hoping the other songs are more like this and not like Paradise which to me has little lyrical value. Hopefully fantastic lyrics extend throughout the album.

I love this song and it's an awesome opener to their live shows!! So amazing.

It seems like in the last two shows (Letterman and Toronto) Chris changed the lyrics from "Surface are names" back to the "Pavement are names" that he sang earlier this summer when the festivals started.

Yeah, probably. I prefer surface, but pavement does tie it more to graffiti. I just think surface "feels" better (for lack of a better word).

I just realised, the lyrics are:

 

"We'll be writing and saying"

 

Not "writing the saying"

 

or
