[3-Aug-2011] Coldplay @ Samsung AT&T Summer Krush Concert Series, Los Angeles

Featured Replies

Hello

As for SSK Freebies seating chart: I asked PR person and here's her reply:

"I think all of the tickets are GA, so, same for those who paid and those who got them free. Though, I'm not certain. I'm handling PR, not ticketing.

The free tickets are indeed still available through the 2nd though."

Hope this helps!

The "paid for" tickets are definitely reserved seats. A few of us on the boards contacted Summer Krush about seat location and were told that "exact seat location would be distributed at the door." Based on the location of the seats many of us have purchased and what is currently available on stubhub for resale, it looks as though the free seats will be randomly distributed throughout the venue, but will be assigned seating as well.

Welcome to the boards! It's bound to be an awesome concert!

I went to Ticketmaster and the last ticket was sold out right before it was my turn. I can't seam to get a ticket unless I pay $300 from a scalper. This small venue thing sucks unless they have it other nights also.

So I made this poster today. It's not done. I still have to add more...but I don't know what to write in the blue part...any suggestions? :) I'm not even sure if I'll take the poster yet though, I'll decide later but I wanted to make it just in case. :)

If anyone's wondering where that creepy looking thing is from.....it's from this:

Also I emailed the promoters as well about if you have to be 18 or older to win tix and also asked about if a person just took their birth certificate and their school id together as well to prove who they are...and I got this reply:

You do not have to be 18. We will accept any form of government ID.

I took that last statement as yes that your birth certificate will do. :P

I really think the free tickets will be in the GA area....where else would they be? It seems like a lot of people have won a lot of the free tickets and I wouldn't be surprised if they were in the GA area because I don't see where else that amount of people could fit. With that being said, if I were a paying customer and had seats in one of the sections further away and found out that I could have sat in GA for free, I would be pretty upset.

I know that most of the first couple of rows in the floor sections are VIP tix (that's where my seats are) and I know the $160 tickets were around the sides. I also saw that the areas that appear to be at the side or behind the stage were over $100 as well.

Was anyone able to purchase GA tickets? As of right now, there is only 22 for sale on Stubhub with a few more scatter on eBay. I'm still thinking that the free tickets would be in the pit...

Also, I know that the VIP tix come with an exclusive Coldplay gift and since my fiancee and I are both going, if the gift is identical for both of us, we will be selling one of them and donating the proceeds to St. Judes Children's Hospital, and I'll give Coldplayers first opportunity :)

Only a week away....:P

I didn't see anyone on here that purchased GAPit tickets, I don't think they were even coming up on ticketmaster. I have seen some pit tickets on sale on the ticket sites for alot of money. I can't imagine pit tickets being given out for free on the Summer Krush website:thinking: I agree with Dianne, that there are alot of seats spread out in all sections of the venue, except the floor VIP and PIT areas. Some free tickets could be in sec. 7 some could be in sec.2 :\

It's very nice of you to donate the money for the Coldplay gift and giving Coldplayers first crack at it:kiss:

Graeme, I believe it's one Coldplay gift for every two tickets. I'm hoping it's a signed picture. It would be nice to get it framed.

Sooooooo Cooool!!!! Hmm I see lot's of Teardrops and maybe a line or two from the ETDIAW song

"I Turn the Music Up"

"Cathedrals in my heart"

Or try to imitate a waterfall in the center using teardrops???

Hey, guys.

I've won a pair of tix off the Samsung website and I'm going by myself to the show.

If anyone is interested, I'm willing to sell my extra ticket.

Wish I could give it away for free, but I'm driving in from out of state and gas prices these days is :shocked2:

PM me if you're interested!

Thanks for the suggestions. :D Lyrics sound like a good idea...and those two are pretty good ones to put on there. :) As for the waterfall made of teardrops...I would have to figure out how to do that. I'll see though. :) Thanks again!

That happened a few times to me...it's like you get a page of code? When I got that, I would just start over and re-enter everything.

Good luck!

12+ hours later and I am still hitting the submit button, nonstop.

code or no code?

I tried to send a "group" PM, but couldn't get it to work, says I can only send to one person at a time. If everyone is ok with it, why don't you all send me a PM with your cell number and email address and we'll take the meetup arrangements to email? That way, too, we don't have to keep sorting through posts on the thread :)

TWELVE DAYS!!! I'm SO excited!!!

Sorry for the slow reply - was at Comic Con last week through the weekend and just catching up on the thread...

Please add me to the e-mail list - [email protected]

I'd be interested in connecting to other VIP attendees and meeting up somewhere after...

Thanks!

Jason

Anyone know of where I can get cheap airline tickets. Right now the only flights I can find out of DC for my husband and I are around $550 per ticket. That makes two free CP tickets pretty expensive. I really, really want to go!!!

I'm coming from florida, and got mine a week or so ago and my rountrip was about 400.00, Check... Expedia, priceline, cheap tickets, orbitz, and I also checked the airlines themselves, I ended up with priceline.

Also, I don't know if your getting a rental car, but I am not flying into LAX, I am flying to SNA "Orange County" which is about 1 hour from L.A. check area airports, some might be cheaper to fly into.

After reading Roadie#42's blog, I hope the boy's don't get too exhausted by L.A., ya know they are just not as young as they used to be:lol:

That's it exactly. Thanks.

Look at flying into Long Beach too. Jet Blue. And check fares on Southwest, they don't show up on travel sites like travelocity or expedia. You could also check flights into Orange County (SNA). It's further south, near where I live, but you will have to rent a car anywhere you fly into.

Good luck.

Woo Hoo! It's the SEVEN DAY countdown. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!! :D

Are they still giving away tickets? Today is my 21st birthday and I can think of nothing more that I'd like than to win some tickets.
