Just checked their Twitter account and I don't see where they said that.

 

On August 4, they tweeted about October 24, 2011; I guess referring to a possible release date of LP5 and also said to be aware of the news at the end of the month, i.e. end of August.

I actually am expecting an announcement tomorrow. On top of the official fansites, I always suspected Friday to be an announcement. Has Coldplay Mexico and Coldplay Peru had a solid track record? Just curious.

I've got a high school orientation tomorrow and I'm afraid I'm gonna miss it! I've been waiting for THREE YEARS (well so has everybody else). If somebody could find out what time it would be mush appreciated.
