I think they are just being very creative in building interest for the album by putting another song out there through promotions. That doesn't mean it has to be a single.

The recording page on coldplay.com says that both are released on the same date :stunned: Correct, the actual CD release was on June 12th, but the song Viva la Vida was available for immediate download when the LP became available for pre-order on iTunes, which is, if I recall correctly, what Dave Holmes implied was to be the case for Paradise as well.
