It's funny how negative the majority of the comments seem to be on this board, but then you take a look at the YouTube comments section for the official release. I'd venture to say 95% of the comments are positive.

Well the poll suggests most people on THIS forum liked the song, so let´s get them to post here I say...they must be somewhere!

I could easily post words that show a hint of reservation about the song, but that would be ridiculous because the beauty of it overrules anything else so i agree with you, especially about the ending.

LOL, I noticed this too. I was getting a little down after reading so many negative comments, but then I realized most all the complaints were from one core group of people. Yet, on YouTube, I have seen nothing but praise for the song.

Yes this song disarms me and does not allow me to criticize it hehe It´s like when you are in love: you don´t see any faults because your heart is soaring :)

So true! It took me about 2 minutes into the song when I was able to sing along! I love it waaaay too much and I think that most people will at least like it! :)

That happens cause some people here that don't like the song are trying to be anoying and childish, making so much noise. But it doesn't matter, the song is good.

That's why I made this thread because all the positive posts were going in the 'Am I the only one who likes Paradise' thread thought id liften up the mood a bit haha :) Youtube vid has about 1000 likes already and only 19 dislikes, had about 1000 100 ratio for ETIAW so theres the reaction already in itself.

Yeah let´s make some joyful noise too! We have the right to scream too if we like it :)

Eh, if it had better lyrics I'd agree. I love the music but I just can't get into the song with how awful those lyrics are. It sounds so contrived, and so... lazy.

 

But yeah the arrangement is great, if a little bit overproduced.

what made me laugh was how everyone was so excited from the 30 sec preview !!

sure, it's different. But to be honest, I think the whole album will be 'different' and we need to accept that.

Yes I don´t get that because the early preview really hinted at how the song was going to sound.

 

I LOVE the lyrics but it might be because they resonate with me. I don´t see them as cheesy but genuinely hopeful and boy do we need to hear that often on planet earth...especially girls :)

it was really different, unexpected (and really terrible lyrics wtf :D )but after listening to it dozens of time i am finding myself into it !!!

 

don´t freak out about the negative comments ..well, it´s supposed to be so .. haters alwways make lots noise, even if they are not that many. they will calm down soon

 

and I am really happy for those postive comments on Youtube and other COldplay related threads
