Hello,

My name is Olivia all the way from Indonesia. I'll be travelling to London for the first time (and alone :tears:) on December 4th (would love to join the Coldplaying Xmas Party but sad don't match with the time I arrive :( ). And back to my country on Monday December 12th.

Anyway I have tried so hard to get the tickets for Coldplay at O2 on September. Also have asked Mich to help me (thanks, Mich! :') ) but still didn't manage to get one ticket. As it was sold out in 2-3 minutes! Crazy.

So please, if you guys know any Coldplayers/friends who have spare tickets or want to sell theirs because they can't make it on the day December 9th, please let me know... I really really really want to watch Coldplay at the O2 so baddd...:( This is my biggest dream...

My username on Twitter is: @oliverpool. Cheers to all lovely Coldplayers here!

Thanks a lot for your attention to this poor girl.

Best Regards,

Olivia

  • 2 weeks later...

this show to have a 360 degree stage?

the MEN Arena website says the Coldplay show will have a 360 degree view. the ticketmaster website has rear view seats now available.

just checked the ticketmaster website for the O2 show and there are rear view tickets showing there too, although none available

One month!

The O2 have that quite often though I think? Atleast when I saw Arctic Monkeys there a few weeks ago, they had seats waaaay at the sides..I quite like the O2, it's suprisingly "athmosperic" for such a big venue! (and it's super easy for me to get home from there hehe) EXCITED

I agree, I love the 02! It's amazingly atmospheric for the size, it's a perfect venue considering I think :) I've been there loads and have only seen the 'centre stage' thing a couple of times but it worked out well. The only problem I've ever had there is the sound/acoustics. I don't know if it's the venue or the technicians (most probably both) but it seems to be really hard for them to balance the sound so it sounds good across the whole place. When I've been they've usually got it right eventually when an act plays there for more than one night, but we don't have that luxury (yet?...)

Woooo!

What?!

One month!

Oh, I see! :P :laugh3:

If anyone is still without tickets, there are a few in Block 401 on Ticketmaster. They are individuals, but it looks like you could get one in row D and one in the seat immediately behind it in Row E. They're not called restricted view so I suspect they're about as close as you'll get to the stage in the upper tier. Some in the block opposite too. Worth experimenting - you may need to use 2 different types of browser to keep them in your basket at the same time :smug:

I've just bought 2 upper tier tickets ! :) But I made a big mistake. I used 2 different browser and when I saw Row B, I thought that they were the same section ! I was in a big panic :( So stupid ! :( I don't know what I'm gonna to do.

What do you think about section 402, row b, seat 479 ? I've no idea :inquisitive:

And lastly, is there anyone going London from Brighton in that day?

-So sorry about my English:embarrassed:

Oh dear - I'm sorry as it was my idea to use two browsers. You may have been better booking one ticket and taking the risk to book the 2nd one afterwards :\

Anyway, your seat is as close to the stage as you can get in the upper tier. In general the upper tier tickets are much further away than the lower tier - there are 2 floors of corporate boxes between the two tiers, so it relies on the band to 'fill the space' which Coldplay do as well as anyone. Last time they played the O2 Arena they set up a little area on the upper tier with a drum and guitar and played a couple of songs from up there - you may be lucky again! You're better off in blocks like 402 that are more side on to the stage than those at the end that are straight on, which will be 3 or 4 times further away from the stage than you.

The other thing to bear in mind is that there is almost free movement within the venue with no ticket checks, so if you and your friend can find a couple of seats next or near each other that aren't taken - or one of you spots a single spare seat near to where you are, it's worth the risk of sitting in them. There will be some no shows, such as unused production seats.

Enjoy the show!

I'm about as far away from the stage as it's possible to be I think with my tickets, but I don't really care.. I'll be there! :) Of course it would be nice to be closer, but I am certain I will enjoy it wherever I am .

Nothing left now, thanks for the info I will keep checking regularly.

Oh it's ok, it was completely my fault :) Thank yo SO MUCH for all this information. What do you think about 421 row b?

Exactly the same - if you look on the Ticketmaster plan you'll see that 421 and 402 are mirrors of each other.

You're absolutely right. I was up there for Muse a could of years ago. When the support band came on I couldn't believe how far away I was and how small they were. Then Muse came on and filled the place with light, sound and video and I forgot all about the distance for the rest of the gig - I might just as well have been on the arena floor!

Michael McIntyre made a joke when he played there, mimicking a couple who arrived with tickets for the Upper Tier with the wife saying 'these can't possibly be the seats, darling, the sat nav says we've still got 2 miles to go' :laugh3:

Guys. Do you think there is still chance for me to get tickets to this one? Please HELP! An opportunity has just rise and I will be able to make it to London on December 9.

You can try the secondary ticket sites, I think it was something like Scarlet Mist whom did tickets sales at face value.

How early are you going to the arena and start queueing?

I was just about to ask the same thing.

I have 2 floor tickets, one for me and one for a friend. However, she's just found out she's got a practical for uni until about noon that day, and can't get there before 3 PM. I'm perfectly happy to get there for 6 AM and queue until the cows come home, but will I be able to reserve a place for her? Or will that make a lot of people very angry? :\

I have seated ticket. When should I get there? Do you think is 3 or 4 pm ok?

I have your exact same problem! :(

If you have a seated ticket you don't really have to queue at all if you don't want to. You can get there whenever since you have a specific seat so no one's gonna steal it from ya :P

Thank youu :) I thought like that too, but still wanted to ask :)

I very much doubt people will get angry... Just carefully explain the situation to the people behind you in the que when you get there. Im sure they will understand... after all, she will have a ticket, its not like your que-ing for tickets... that might be a different story

CFCVG20 - Use this code to get £20 off per order @ viagogo

I'm not advertising, I don't work for viagogo. I have used this code to get a number of tickets at less than face in last few months.

Oh, me! I'm going from Brighton up to London. I've booked a place on the coach though, which is only like £21 return which is actually cheaper than the train with underground/overground (unless you have a rail card).

Nat, what time does the coach come back from London? I'm going up from Worthing and have already booked a parking space at the O2 so if it's not returning early enough for you, you're welcome to hitch a lift home with me - PM me if you want to chat about it some more :)

Aww thank you. That's really kind of you, but the coach is due to leave at 11:15 which given the curfew isn't that long after the show so I will be alright that way around. :)
