i remember during a cast interview ryan murphy said he wants coldplay on the show so im hoping this season is the season to play one of the songs if so what song do you think it will be??? oh and any gleeks here?? :D

They wanted to use Viva La Vida in the pilot but Coldplay were unsure of the show so they said no. They may still do a Coldplay song, but they don't usually say what songs until maybe a few days before the episode airs. I love Glee, btw.

They should so do it for one of their competitions. For some reason, I feel like Glee doing Viva La Vida and Gaga's Edge of Glory would make for an epic setlist for their Sectionals competition :)

commercially, coldplay would benefit greatly from having a song be in glee. but, me being a firm hater of the show, would hate to see a coldplay song get Glee-a-tized:\

I see no real benefit to Coldplay being on Glee except giving fans of the band and show something. The benefit wouldn't be that great financially.

I actually have no problem with them doing Glee in principle but Ryan Murphy puts me off cos he's a massive dick. When Coldplay initially said no he was talking all this shit about them (much in the way he did KoL, except Coldplay didn't get drawn into a fight) and then Coldplay changed their minds and he was all "oh they finally admitted they were wrong" :dozey:

Glee are parasites who should write their own songs instead of taking everyone else's. Where's the culture in covering week after week? Where's the fairness to artists who write their own songs but can't get airplay over a manufactured kids group singing Journey? Where's the soul in any of it? I hope to God Coldplay don't partake in this charade, as it's just wrong.

Glee is terrible, Ryan Murphy is an ass, and frankly Coldplay don't need any extra promotion so there's no need to have any of their songs murdered by Glee. Except ETIAW, they can murder that all they like.

I love dave Grohl because glee asked if they could do a FF song on Glee, david said no, then glee talked down foo, and Grohl said "fuck glee" :D

I don't get the appeal of Glee whatsoever, but I wouldn't really care one way or another if Coldplay's music was used for the show. It would be a huge publicity stunt for them to use their music, and it wouldn't be my choice, but other artists I like and respect have done it, so I don't see too too much harm in allowing others to cover a popular song, whether I like it or not. However, if Coldplay was going to BE ON the show, or any show like it...that I would be massively annoyed by. I don't think they would, but originally when Dave Holmes said that they were going to be on "different kinds of TV shows this fall" or something like that, I got worried :sick:

I love Glee, and I'm sure they will cover some Coldplay eventually. I feel like it's hard trying to find that best spot where it will fit in, but I think it would be awesome.
