dcmarlow
Out of all of the songs released from the LP5/Mylo Xyloto era, this one has been the worst so far. Definitely doesn't fit on the album.

dcmarlow
It's not on the album, and it's the best of this era  Sorry, I was referring to all of the people that said it should've been on the album over Princess of China or whatever. Princess of China is clearly better.
LauCH
:stunned::stunned::stunned::stunned::stunned: No. No. And No. Musicalement parlant, Moting To Mars is WAY better. Wow.
Mrguidogenio
Sorry, I was referring to all of the people that said it should've been on the album over Princess of China or whatever. Princess of China is clearly better. Wait what? How is a heavy synth-pop Coldplay song better than a piano ballad very Coldplayish with a guitar solo at the end? Brent
I'm not tired of it. I'm just tired of people complaining it's not on the album.
dcmarlow
When I hear people on the forum say how unimaginative ETIAW is and how easily anyone of them could've written that song, I think of MTM. I also hate how Chris can almost hardly sing the intro...
OnlookerDelay
Princess of China is clearly better. Seriously!? Princess of China doesn't even sound like a Coldplay song :stunned: I think POC would have been a better choice for a single... that way, people who want to hear Coldplay dabble in synth-pop as "featured artists' could have done so on their own dime, without compromising an otherwise mostly solid album with an experiment. dcmarlow
Sorry, just stating my opinion. That's what music forums are all about. It's a pretty bland song.
vanessarrent
I'm not tired of Moving to Mars :\ I love this song.
JJB
I'm not tired of it. I'm just tired of people complaining it's not on the album. Same here. Great song, but the boys chose not to include it for a reason. And tbh, I quite likePoC too. So I think I'd go with their decision to pick certain other songs over MTM. Would you much rather DLIBYH was left off, or UWTB? I certainly wouldn't. :shocked2:
Harondor
MTM is awesome and one of the best songs of this era !
flyingdelorean
I think Mylo Xyloto is great! I actually wrote a music review of Mylo Xyloto for the Harvard Political Review! Please check it out if you have the time! http://hpronline.org/books-arts/deciphering-mylo-xyloto/ (And "like" it - the more support the article gets, the more likely we'll have similar articles!) Thanks!
dcmarlow
I agree in the fact that it's not an awful song. I'm just really tired of hearing the forum rave about it when it's just not the best thing they've ever done.
shred
I'm not tired of it. I'm just tired of people complaining it's not on the album. ^ This. People should be glad they are able to hear it! :dozey: Though personally, I'm glad it's not on the album. Unless of course, it were to replace Up in Flames. QuestionsOfScience
Yes to this post!!! I never got it with Moving To Mars. It's really the one song from this era that does nothing for me. It comes across as almost bland. And I don't think it would have fit that well on the album, I don't see it. I don't understand the constant hype about people wishing it was on the album. shred
Haha yeah, me too. I think it's a bit overrated. :P
Strawberry Swinger
Sorry, I was referring to all of the people that said it should've been on the album over Princess of China or whatever. Princess of China is clearly better. well it's just opinions, smartass. to me, Moving to Mars is their best song since Viva La Vida. Better than all of Mylo Xyloto. See? and WTF? anyone could have written it? Umm...sure...
Spider-Man
Wait what? How is a heavy synth-pop Coldplay song better than a piano ballad very Coldplayish with a guitar solo at the end? Everybody is entitled to their own opinions.
Prospector
Moving To Mars is as good as any track on the album, it's just not there cause it wouldn't fit.
