The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You

Featured Replies

Someone supply me with a video on youtube or something of Muse's best. Chop Chop.

I wanna see what all the fuss is about. I've only seen/heard them once and they were running around with silver paint on their faces I think. :\

Haha I sound so demanding.

  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

wow ren. that was intense :stunned:

and well said. :nice:

then compare Radiohead's first 4 works and Muse's first 4 works ;)

but you know i'm still going to swing muse's way, and you're still going to swing radiohead's way.

it's inevitable. we already have preconceived biases and neither of us can be partial when judging these two against the other. ;)

lol i don't know, i can't give you one song to fall in love with them. you need to listen to their entire work. ie- entire first album, or second, or third, but please. don't launch into their new album straight away if you don't know their previous stuff sammy boy. :nice:

lemme look, i'll find a good old song.

edit:

(2nd album)

muse; bliss (the title says new born, ignore it, it's bliss) (2nd album)

muse; sunburn (1st album)

muse - hysteria (live) the first time i heard this i thought "fuckkkkkkk meee" but i'd advise you to hear the original first before hearing the live version because theres alot of screaming in the beginning during the bass riff which is zeee best. (3rd album)

muse; time is running out (3rd album)

As for people saying Radiohead is depressing' date=' lmfao. I think that's sort of funny. When I'm depressed, I put on Radiohead and feel BETTER. They don't MAKE me depressed. They nurse me out of my depression. I feel like I can grab onto Thom in my moments of crisis and he can say to me "It's alright, I know how it is...". That's what counts. They do sometimes deal in a dark subject matter, but sometimes this is what you must do to write the songs and style that they want to write.[/quote']

As I'm one of those saying RH songs are depressing...just wanted to repeat: that is the feeling I have when I listen to OK Computer..I really don't understand why I cannot have this feeling of wanting to cut my veins when I hear those songs..it's MY opinion, and of course I don't expect all the people in this world to have the same feeling (as you just showed).

So I really laugh at all the people who are so crystallised in what they think that they cannot see the rest of people might not think their same way.

All in all..I just listened two times to BHAR..need to do it some more times and concentrate on the songs :)

Alright I am currently watching this.

It is "Stockholme Syndrome".

I have to admit it is pretty good, but if I close my eyes, it is instantly just Radiohead.

It is different in the way that the guitar is more rocky and rhythm-based compared to the riff-like guitar of The Bends or OKC.

But the singer is instanlty reminiscent of Thom Yorke.

I'm gonna find more songs now.

EDIT: I'll check out those Bon. :wink2:

:disappointed: i gave in. i had to download it.

but my gosh.

it is phenomenal.

hmm okay. if there is anything, then yes the ONLY similarity i can draw is that there is a little similarity between the voices, but still hardly any. hmmm.

the guitar is sooooooooooo unbelievably different, and the bass is so effing different it's crazy, and the drumming, gosh you can't even compare dom's drumming to phil of rh. they are entirely, ridiculously different. the whole thing. it's different.

and matt is a predominant pianist in alot of the songs, muse have ALOT of piano in there songs. as in crazy amounts. it's just. differrrreeennnntttttt. i hate comparisons between the twooo. they are so different it's crazy.

Mister Dom... :wink3:

hahaha that's exactly what i said valerieee but seeing people rate it 3.8 out of 10 and giving it a complete bashing, i had to download it and have my own piece of mind that the album is the best fucking thing i have heard in my life. :nice:

and damn straight, they did not let me down, even 0.00000000000001%. yep, muse are still rocking as fucking hard as ever, and looking as fucking beautiful as ever.

oh kill me, they are fucking spectacular.

Naughty Bonners :uhoh:

Can't deny it, Dom is very very.... erm.... handsom

And uh.... Muse's new album... I'll try to wait but it'll be damn hard to do :uneasy:

First of all ' date=' i didnt say rh fans are wankers cos i've been a radiohead fan myself since you were around 4 years old probably ( 1994 to be exact) which gives me the experience of more than 10 years to have my own opinions about some ppl who claim to have the finest taste in music and use it as an argument to bash and put down others. I said " some radiohead fans are real pricks" ( notice i didnt say wankers ), what part of that dont you understand? I said it cos i met ( in real life just to make it clear) some radiohead fans who happen to be friends or mine who really think they're so over the rest and worship radiohead in a real sick way, the kind that use to argue about how political their songs are and the deep dark meaning behind each lyric to the point that thom yorke himself would be ashamed to have such pretentious pricks as fans.

If you can't stand me for my opinion is up to you Nik, i havent changed my mind about you cos i think we can have a radical exchange of opinions and remain cool but lemme quote this to be more exact "if you still call the biggest part of RH fans wankers, then i don't stand you" please i dare you to quote the exact line where i called wankers to the majority of rh fans. Just try to be more open to critics or opinions that differ from yours because saying you dont stand me for having my own opinion ( which you obviously misunderstood) just shows you arent ready to deal with an open debate and fits more to a 7-year-old kid which i think you are not cos i consider you smart enough to debate about this without taking it to heart.

well i can't say how do Radiohead fans act in the real life because i don't have any friends who listen to Radiohead. and just simply because most of people here (teenagers like me) don't even know who Radiohead are. that's shame

there is no another way to argue via internet. if you want to go into a debate you won't see the real faces and won't know the real names. and noboby will meet you in the real life only because you would like to discuss something about a band.

but still after your post, "watchers" who have no idea who are the REAL FANS will think that every Radiohead fan is prick. at least i could pick out only this meaning. of course you said only "SOME", but still the whole thing sounds more like "most of them are pricks". however, your points to the fact that GENERALLY Radiohead fans are pricks (my opinion, and i won't change it). but i appreciate your opinion which you could prove in some ways. unlike the other Muse fans here

and what is the big difference between prick and wanker? slagging off is slagging off...

oh my that picutre of dom makes me want to......

And uh.... Muse's new album... I'll try to wait but it'll be damn hard to do :uneasy:

it's not my fault dom is so unbelievably handsome and dresses so well and has the cutest hair and is the drumming maestroooo :nice:

haha i'm sure you will give in and download soon. there's still a few more weeks until it's released.

lol i feel entirely pure when i see that picture, a musey feeling. not the same dirrty feeling you have .. although if you were to put up a gorgeous girly i may feel the same :)

Ha you know what... I've visited some Rh boards, just to see what real Rh fans are... And I believe they're pretty nice people.

Actually, the only difference between them and Muse fans is the band these people aprecciate.

And they're not so rude, maybe I was just lucky and I've seen the best of them, but they're really not so rude as I thought they are.

Besides, not all of them hate Muse and Muse fans and they even have many threads about them on their boards... That's weird.

Even people who hate Muse have so much stuff about them on the board...

Anyway, many peple there love both bands, just like me, so I think everything's not that bad

hahaha

how about jolie?

320_Angelina_Jolie_celebrities-039.jpg

hmmm.

too many females in this thread.

i need more dom pics :wideeyed:
