Speed of Sound was the first song i heard from them, was probably late 2005.. I was 15 then.

I would listen to this song over and over non-stop.

First Coldplay song I've ever heard and really noticed was Speed of Sound in 2005/2006 I was 10/11 :) I wasn't a fan at that time :( I may have heard some others before, but I can't remember.

This is going to confuse a lot of people but it was I Ran Away :D, My cousin from England came to the U.S. once a year and he was a Coldplay fanatic (He actually used to have an account on here). He was the one that introduced me to Coldplay because I walked in the room he was staying in and I Ran Away was playing on my dad's old turntable. I liked it and listened to the whole thing probably 15 times before he left, every single song on it was magic to me. I'm sure I heard Yellow or Trouble or one of the Parachutes singles before that but I was too young to remember.

Trouble or Clocks, not knowing it was Coldplay..

I heard Viva La Vida in my first grade, I came home and found out that it was Coldplay and recognized a lot of their songs from then (Trouble and Clocks, The Scientist, In My Place en the great ones from X&Y).

SINCE 2008 A HUGE COLDPLAY FAN :D

i think the best is The Scientist ... but i really love " Trouble " too ! :)

Talk. I'm sure I listened Clocks or Yellow before, but Talk was the first one that I knew it was by Coldplay

the same :shocked2:

Speed Of Sound before X&Y was released. I was just six. I love X&Y.

Clocks was on the radio when I was a kid, but Viva brought them to me!:D

The first Coldplay song I ever heard that I actually knew was Coldplay was Lovers in Japan. I'd probably heard VLV and Clocks before that, but LiJ was what really started my fanaticism. :P

dont panic ,

i was crazy about the clip , and it was the first song wit guitar that made me feel sad . still one of my favorites tracks

Okay, due to my obsession with graphing and lists here's what the results are:

graphcpfirstsong.png

If you put 2+ I took the first one.

Next Question:

What song do you wish was the first you heard? (No more than 3 please; and yes this is also going on a graph :))

Mine would probably be either In My Place or Spies

I think i heard clocks once..but i first officially fully listened to this song first i believe. This or Speed Of Sound...or Clocks...idrk...there all good! I think im saying Things because i just feel like posting a great song for you guys and gals. :D

Love it so.

:laugh3:'Sounds' good!

Actually, I may have heard Yellow first, but the radio stations playing Coldplay's music just wouldn't announce who played what song for any artists, really cheap of them - so only later on I found out, and then recalled hearing it before all the rest. A retro moment.

  • 2 weeks later...

the song that i did hear first was don't panic, as my dad was a total cp fanatic (something he's definitely passed on to me) and we listened to every song in his car non stop. I was about 10 i think :) the song that i wished i heard first would be green eyes :)

Don't panic or Trouble....I'm not sure:)

clocks!

allthough when I proceeded to watch other coldplay songs I did recognise dont panic
