What do you think of the song X&Y?

It's one of my favorite as well!

It has some sort of a ''trance'' feel that i really like.

I like the guitarsolo, but also the violins at the background.

And the whole album is a masterpiece.:dazzled:

Yeah, this is great. I like melody of x&y

Love this song. Love how winding and twisty it gets, and the strings and such at the end are just gorgeous. Easily in my top 5 from X&Y.

It's not one of my favourites from X&Y, but it's definitely an underrated song (like the whole album) and they should play it live again :D

It's a masterpeice! The entire album is SO underrated.

People just don't understand...

In my opinion it's a bad song, nothing special on it, and the chorous is pretty annoying, one of the reasons why the album is not as good as it could have been. On my list of the band's 5 worst songs.

It's definitely up there with my favorites off of that album, but it doesn't beat "A Message" in my opinion!

X & Y is a great song. I really love the lyrics in it, too. "I want to love you, but I don't know if I can." I absolutely adore that lyric. X & Y, the album itself, is probably one of my favorite Coldplay albums. The Hardest Part, Swallowed in the Sea, Til Kingdom Come, Square One. Ugh. I love all of it so much!

I love X&Y, definitely in my top 5 of favorite Coldplay songs. Happy I got it hear it live once or twice.

I like that song a lot. The strings make it sound very dramatic, and the overall atmosphere of that song is very storytelling, mysterical and energetic. I would have loved it if they made a music video for it

I love X&Y! it's great for drifting off into sleep and I always feel like I'm floating on water when I listen to it . My favourite line is " I'm diving off the deep end ,You become my best friend". X&Y is my favourite Coldplay album!

It's a fantastic song. I think of being on my own. In a large city during the afternoon. In a relaxing way.

I think it's a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the album. Not necessarily the best song, but more original than Square One, What If, A Message, The Hardest Part, etc.

It's one of my favourite tracks from my favourite Coldplay album. It's a shame there aren't many many of X&Y performed live.

its a masterpiece and as others said definitely underrated. magical song. i also like the lyrics somehow!

In my opinion it's a bad song, nothing special on it, and the chorous is pretty annoying, one of the reasons why the album is not as good as it could have been. On my list of the band's 5 worst songs.

Oh, and I forgot to say it's cheessy as hell.

hows that song cheesy or annoying in any way?!!

Sorry, I agree with Prospector on that one. To me it is way too weepy (and too long), it totally breaks the awesomeness the 5 first songs brought to the album, and it makes the rest of the album look average, even though A Message, Swallowed in the Sea and Til Kingdom Come are great (SITSea is actually even better than that, a masterpiece).

I'm glad you guys like it, but it's without a doubt my least favorite CP song.

Hey guys, it's just a matter of opinion. No one is right or wrong, no one will get offended if you like X&Y or don't like it (or, at least, no one should) :D

Yup. Agreed. As I said, I may not like it, but I'm glad other people love it.
