To me, 'Atlas' sounds very much like a combination of Moving To Mars and Parachutes rather than A Rush of Blood to the Head -- The choruses remind me of 'For You' while the verses remind me of Moving to Mars.

Edit: And I just bought the album here in the United States -- Currently it is at 12.

Charts really don't matter to me, but it's kind of nice to see a really good song pull ahead of so much shite!

I used to be a chart girl (only stopped a few years ago).

I agree with the second half that it is very good :awesome: to see a really good song pull ahead of so much shite!

Quality must prevail and (sometimes) prevails so everything's not lost.

I was at a bar tonight that usually plays good music but was playing top 10 pop. And all I kept thinking was "Muahahaha!!! Coldplay is knocking your sorry a$$es off the charts!"

I'm usually a lot more mature but Coldplay make me urrationa about these things, lol.:dazzled:

Right you are. When I started reading your post I thought that you would add that Coldplay had been played at the bar that night, but apparently not. I haven't heard it played in Danish radio yet, but I have not been listening to much radio lately.

A local station played it shortly after the official debut, which surprised me. But the jukebox at the bar doesn't have it yet. Otherwise I would have played it.:)

It's been slowly growing on me. I've had it on repeat all night long. I so love Jonny's solo toward the end but wished it lasted a little longer. All in all a good song.

Yes his solo is TOO short it almost makes me mad! hehe Jonny truly has a magic touch and I wish he had contributed a longer part to Atlas, but generally I just think the song is too short or maybe I like it so much I wish it lasted longer :)

Oh dear do jukeboxes still exist?? I had no idea. How cool :)

I'm so proud that Atlas is #1 in Sweden! :)

Go sweden!!! Denmark has given it a #8 place so far, so at least it has entered the top ten :D
