TraceOddity
Haha, kprobably, but that does not make the video less epic. :awesome: ATLAS ftw. Not at all. And jokes aside, the positive response from casual fans and people Who aren't fans at all has been huge if facebook and twitter are any indication. Usually my Coldplay posts get two or three 'like's. My last posting of Atlas got somewhere around 20.:)
Mackplay
ATLAS debuted at #24 on the Alternative Airplay charts. I hope it gets some support form radio stations

Kingzilla
Screw Vancouver radio. A new Coldplay single, Arcade Fire Single, and Arctic Monkey's album have all come out and they decide play "Ho, Hey" all FREAKING DAY.
42JTR
I was just listening to Famous Old Painters and then to an instrumental of Atlas. And I have to say I think Atlas might have been some kind of leftover from the Viva era. Or it might just be as the Oracle said, only written for the movie but you can definitely hear some VLV(Prospekts March/FOP)/MX (MTM) influences here. It really sounds a lot like Famous Old Painters:)

TraceOddity
The Oracle as we'll as the band have said over the years that they often Take fragments of unused music and rework them into new songs so it's possible.
Miha
I've been thinking about that as well, Atlas has some FOP features in it, in my opinion. But like Debs Wild says, a lot of songs that are not finished or unreleased can be used for bits in new songs. It is kind of surprising though that Atlas seems to 'have been written especially for a movie' but its origins seem to come from 2007-2010 period.
