I'm pretty sure the question has been answered somewhere but i couldn't find anything.

What are the chances the new owners will keep the site up as it is right now? New owners doesn't have to mean the site will die. Why would you buy a successful site like this and let it die?

Gods this is desperating. I don't want this closed AT ALL!

Please, there must be a way :cry2:

The band should buy the site and pay for its maintenance. Are there any costs associated?

Its been discussed. Have the band and their management involved with this site and we can kiss our multimedia section goodbye.

No one want us to do anything. They will let this site die and we will have no data found here.

I'd rather have a great forum without the multimedia section than no forum at all.

errr, how much space is that gonna require?

I am backing this entire thing up. Hope my job's HD handle it.

*Searching for tools to download the entire Coldplaying.com website*

And the even more important question: What are you gonna do with it. Clicking through all the forums every day like in the "good old times"?

The multimedia section might be useful but the rest is just massive data on your hard drive that you probably never gonna need.

I would assume that if/when the forum pops up you can export back the data. Or have the MM links be saved at least.

It's the same question you would ask someone for using an encyclopedia.

Come on, someone had to do something.

And as I said, I am not backing Coldplaying.com/forum up.

I am backing Coldplaing.com/*everything* up.

this, we can open a simple blog or something like that for the multimedia

Sure there is some useful information in there but when i think about the "Count to a million" or "The Pub" thread it's just massive, probably useless, data.

But in case we ever gonna need it. Thanks for backing it up.

Hmm tried that a few days ago I think but it didn't work... Do you know if you can save a single thread, by chance?

Don't call the pub useless :whip:

It has managed to download the HTML so far but layout is a bit messy. I'll try some HTML data modeler later.

Yes, sure.

:P

Just info for the site owners: I have limited the speed so I do not overload Coldplaying.com. You're welcome.

Really? how? just by entering the url?

Yep. Use your forum username/password so it can have acess.

seriously, it's the best thread on here! :D

wasn't doubting it :)

Thanks for that, I'm currently downloading *link removed*, too.

Let's see how big this website is :uhoh: I hope 300-ish GB is enough *cough*
