OMGGGGG Stepsi!!!! :awesome::awesome: AWESOME STORY!!!! How lucky you are!!!!! :awesome:

Thank you for sharing your reviews everyone! :wacky:

And yeah, the organisation of the venue was CRAP!

I KNOWWW! Still like a blur though :)

Lucky to get a ticket, lucky to meet Dan, lucky to get inside in time, lucky that the French crowd was so amazing - that's a lot of luck :D

@Coeurli: What a great detailed review, at some moments it even gave me goosebumps (I was kind of living my dream through your review, yeah, I also want to see Coldplay in a small venue someday)! I'm happy your dream came true and that for you 20th birthday

On the radio stream you felt the enthusiasm of both, the crowd and the band, it was hearwarming to witness it! And Phil said you were the greatest audience so far or something along those lines :nice:

Haha I know! People who use all kind of fancy technical things at THE SAME TIME, like phones, walkie-talkies, head sets and whatnot, they always look professional.

I actually thought about doing that if I really wanna go to a gig in the future but won't get tix, just borrow phones from your friends, pretend you're all busy talking to important people, print out some fake convincing AAA laminate and look all serious/angry and I BET you'll get at least into the building :laugh3:

I'm sure it would work! so who's trying next time :p

OMG Coeurli,

What an amazing review how you believe the day and the show.

you also say this :

'' One of them bought a white rose as she wanted to try to hand it to Chris during the concert! How sweet!''

Yesterday i was looking my movies what i make in the concert and i saw this @ viva la vida @ 0.30 hahahaha.

[video=youtube;xRc9NO1Xdho]

I have also a lott of other movies make that night so the people who want to see it look on my account ;)

What an amazing night, the first 2 songs it was pure excitement. goosebumps all over my body.

The energy from the public was also amazing!!!

What a night :D

Thanks, I will look at it ;)

@Lu'kaa: I was also surprised by the short concert but they labelled this tour as being promo for the new album so maybe that's why it's shorter than an usuall show! But in the same time they say the tour for this album will only be 7 venues so it could be longer, and that's why it's all bit confusing. I hope their are not going to do like Madonna in the future, that wouldn't be great at all!

@Little Miss Coldplay: that was not great organisation indeed, at first with the tickets sale then at the venue  I understand you were upset!

@Stepsi : Wow, your experience was also awesome, you were in the right place at the right time with the right people, yay for Coldplay karma

And thanks for all your reviews  I hope some others will come:D

There were about 15 empty seats in front of me, I don't know if it's because people were too late to enter the venue or because of another reason.

What!!! For the whole concert?! In both cases, such a messy orgnisation!

Around me were also some empty seats. What a mess. I hope the nice guy I met in the queue got in in time. He hadn't picked up his ticket at this point because the organisation was not able to handle the many people that arrived at the venue at 5pm and after and so put all the people in one giant queue. They clearly underestimated the size and response of the crowd coming....

I then waited in front of the venue and decided to buy something to eat until the doors open...still had an hour time for that so I went up the street when I passed the soundtruck opposite the venue. A door opened when I walked by and Always in my Head blasted out of it and I immediately stopped and looked backwards and a man was standing at the door and looked for something when he saw me staring at him - haha :D He looked at me questioning and I asked him if it was the band doing soundcheck and he said yes and asked me if I want to come in and have a look :stunned: HELL YEAH! So I went into this truck and it appears that no one less than DAN GREEN himself was sitting at this mixing desk in this truck!!! I was like WHAAAAT the hell is happening right now :D :D :D haha he looked over his shoulders when I entered and said "Hi" when he turned back to the screens where you could see the band doing soundcheck in the venue and still AIMH was played by them. I seemd to have missed Ink, True Love and Green Eyes, but still - I saw the band and Dan. Chris was making a lot of fun and seemed in a very good mood. He was joking to Dan over the microphone and while playing the guitars he made up lyrics like "Hey Dan, how does it sound? This sounds worse but Dan will make it sound sooooo good yeah - lalalalalala" Sorry I cannot remember all that as I was so kind of shocked by the whole situation :D then they played the music Anchorman posted which seemed to be Crests of waves? I wasn't sure what it was so I asked Dan if it's something new and he smiled at me and said: "It's rather a very very old one." Me: "Will they play it later though?" Dan: "I have no idea to be honest. It'd be surprise for me either. Hehe." He is such a nice and decent and polite person! I asked if I can make a picture as no one would ever believe me this and he said of course I can. I assured him though that I won't do any videos and in the same moment I said it to him he turned to me and wanted to say the same haha - he smiled and said "Haha, yes, I wanted to say that. Otherwise I'll get a lot of trouble! ;)" The band was in the meantime playing around some individual stuff and Chris asked Tony (apparently another soundman) if he has recorded something he just played on the piano and if he can email the sample to him please. Then Guy played a bass line Chris was watching and listening to carefully and then asked Tony again if he can email him that sample as well. Some new stuff for LP7?!?! Then doors were about to open so the band finished soundcheck and went off the stage. But Dan continued with some songs they taped from the Glasgow gig (ASfoS, Magic, ETIAW, Paradise) From what they Dan and Tony were talking I assumed they weren't so sure about the setlist yet so checked the ones which seemed most likely to be played... It was amazing to look over Dan's shoulders and how he can make sound something good even better. Haven't seen this kind of studio work in my whole life so I felt blessed to witness all this and then with Dan and Coldplay, my favourite band in the world! He singled out every layer and tuned it correctly, took his cellphone and noted every setting. In the truck it sounded all very good and in my spot in the venue itself the sound was great too. I cannot complain. When the Glasgow songs blasted through the speakers I said to Dan that their show there was amazing and he totally agreed and thought it was nice to here the "old" stadium songs again and doing a big crowd again next to the tiny venues.

I spent something like over an hour in the truck which was apparently owned by the man who invited me in, who was French and responsible for the sound production. Also some people from NRJ were in this truck and they were all sooooo nice. I still cannot believe how lucky I was and what Coldplay Karma that must have been that I decided to go to buy a bottle of water and just passed that truck in that particular second! Hahaha - I am still stunned and amazed as you can imagine.

That is so awesome :wacky:

Oh man!! I feel bad for the people who missed a part of the show, which was already not long!

That's for sure!

Hi, it's me again :P Despite having to miss the boys playing Always In My Head, I did manage to pick up some paper stars which I now have at home with me. Also, after the gig, I saw 2 of the boxes that Coldplay have had sprayed/painted with artwork (Are they storage boxes? I'm not too sure) which was pretty awesome and I got all excited about them 'cos they were right in front of me and were about to be loaded into a truck while I tried to take photo's of them. Also, when Coldplay were on stage, Chris blew a kiss to the crowd which I thought was cute and blew one back to him even though he had been looking at people in a different section of the crowd. (Sad, I know but Oh well haha).

I have a feeling, and hope for people's sake, that the empty seats were empty 'cos maybe people stood in the aisles on steps or maybe like someone suggested that they got to the standing section. When I was late I started freaking out and just stood in awe of Coldplay then realised my view was from the side, so I asked a member of staff where my seat was and he pointed around the corner. I ran around the corner up more stairs and realised it was impossible to get to my seat so just stood on the side aisle on a step and luckily had a better view than I would have done from my seat which would have been in the back row! I turned around to check I wasn't blocking somebody else's view and a girl who was standing a couple of steps behind me invited me to step back a bit more and I then had a bit of a better view as I was higher up :) I guess every cloud has a silver lining now that I look back. I still feel strange thinking I travelled to a different country to see the boys but it had to be done! It must be True Love :P

Do you guys think Coldplay realise that a lot of fans travel to different countries to see them? (I'm guessing there are a lot of us that do this) Also, I thought Chris threw his guitar in excitement but apparently it was flying as part of the show. What actually happened? Haha I had to be told to leave the room by a member of staff at the end when I walked closer to the empty stage to take photo's of the pretty stage. The guy had to repeat himself 'cos I don't speak French and must have thought I was a right weirdo when I went around picking up pretty paper stars from the concert off the floor :P I feel even more grateful at having seen Coldplay at the Paris gig after finding the Graham Norton show online and hearing Chris and Jonny confirm again that they are not doing a proper tour. I hope those of you who want to see them do at some point! :) x

An old woman passing by stopped and asked us what this whole mess was about. A lovely woman – so sorry i forgot your name but hey you were so nice and i hope you eventually got a good spot despite entering later than planned! - told her about Coldplay and the concert. The woman said: "I've been living in this area for 44 years and it's the first time I see such a mess and that many people in front of the venue!"

Hehehe THAT's what Coldplay does :charming:

That was me (the young, not the old lady :D ) It was really cool to wait all day long with you and the bunch of 5/10 people from 9 am till the gig.

Finally, despite of my +1 being a little late, I managed to have THE place : front row, middle.

To spend 1h15 at about 3 meters of Mister Chris Martin, that's amazing ! He is such a great frontman :shocked2:

Eyes contact, smiles, funny faces, jokes, a lot of emotion, and even several lovely views of his perfect "six pack"...

The whole band on such a tiny stage : WOW !!! And yes, Guy's smile is a letal weapon

Exactly! At the end, the "wow oh oh oh" part.

I think Chris really loved that crowd. He was really playful and nearly shed a tear at one point.

Ha! Knew it! His look was so funny :D

And I also think he really enjoyed the gig and was amazed by the crowd. He interacted a lot with the audience (I see you!, take your tie off, Oh wow!, eye contact everywhere, white rose, just to name a few :) It was truely special. I have not noticed that he nearly shed a tear but well, I think it's possible as we and the band were f*** great.
