c'mon crests of waves

that crowd ain't goin home til they come out again!

Their concerts are getting shorter with every tour

really? 90 minute set is pretty standard no?

Streams over.. The radio's playing atlas now

:( Over, was that considerably shorter than the LA one the other day or was it just me?

Jonny and Will both play guitar on that though (and Will sings). And Guy has a lot of bass. Quantitatively speaking, I think it's more participation than Oceans and UATW which have been setlist staples.

And Will uses the little thingie-- technical term I know-- that makes the bird chirp noise from his guitar. It was like a tiny black box that he ran along the strings.

I meant the other concerts. They're gonna have to skip some songs, thats just the reality of creating set lists. I would gladly take out AA for Green Eyes after hearing AA more recently and GE not so much. Glass half full, not half empty

Ok, I thought a moment I missed a bit of the show  Yeah, I understand they have to make choices and I'm glad they played Green Eyes (with a bit of country vibe to it, no?)

Unfortunately yes..though, the french audience deserved a longer set like in LA, what a pitty :(

Nice that Fix You is closing again. Hope they keep on doing that this tour.

Really missing Life In Technicolor II though!

The ebow?

it is more like 70 mins recently, since they did not start 20:30 and stopped before 22:00, but maybe its got to do with the smaller tour in all

Yeah LA had not only a longer set but a lot of great songs - Atlas, Don't Panic, A Whisper. Though Green Eyes' appearance is good. :)

Yep yep! Though I believe it's Jonny using a guitar slide to make the bird chirp noise, and Will using the ebow to make the more melodic guitar part (like in Amsterdam). I'm aware of how Jonny's doing it because the guitarist in my band does the bird noise thing in one of our songs. Not to get technical about it of course - I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates that they're working hard to make the atmosphere. :D

I think that's my first time hearing O Part 2 "live." Cool stuff.

The e-bow

The ebow?

I have no idea. He picked up a little black flat box thing, maybe 2x3 inches, and jiggled it along the guitar strings.

Ah yes, that's the e-bow :) It makes the strings vibrate.

it sounded like the crowd wasn't leaving. If they did come for a 2nd encore, I wonder if they would play something off their soundcheck (LIKE CREST OF WAVE)

I don't know what Jonny was doing because I was sitting next to Will and couldn't take my eyes off him and Jonny was on the other side of the stage.

Nice that they keep on playing coldplay songs, or is that a web radio that only plays coldplay?
