Chromatics Announce New Album Dear Tommy

Chromatics have announced Dear Tommy, the follow up to 2012's Kill for Love. It'll be out "in time for Valentine's Day" (a set date hasn't been announced) via Italians Do It Better. The version of "Cherry" that appears on the album is "similar" to the one that appeared on After Dark 2, though the version of "Camera" is different. This isn't the only project Johnny Jewel has in the pipeline, though. Glass Candy's album Body Work and Symmetry's Still Life are also in the works.

The Wrens Have Finished Their New Album

For almost a decade, the Wrens have been trickling out information about the follow up to 2003's The Meadowlands. In November, they signed a deal to release the record, which they said was almost done. Now, in a blog post written on the band's website, guitarist Charles Bissell revealed that the album has been completed. In the post, Bissell said that over Thanksgiving, he went to the emergency room for what turned out to be "strep pneumonia, a collapsed lung, full renal failure...the works," which required immediate medical treatment. At one point, it appeared life-threatening. This, along with many other issues faced by the band this year, seems to have prompted the album's completion. The album doesn't yet have a title, though they did share a brief snippet of music back in July.

wait what??? that man won brits wards and still hasnt released the album????
He has released like 3 EPs, his album is due sometime next year, definitely quite early in the year. He's gained attention through touring mostly, radio DJs found out about him and quite understandably fell in love and that's how the hype started :wacky: And yes he's actually won the BRITs Critics Choice Award even before releasing his album

edit: aaaaand that's my 16,000th post :D

An album what I would think is really worth mentioning:

4. solo album by Steven Wilson, called "Hand. Cannot. Erase."

It's not really mainstream music as the previous ones in here, but everyone who is interested in good and quality rock albums with a strong concept, I would say this is the one of the highlights of 2015. ;)

Gary Lightbody has confirmed plans to release the next Snow Patrol album in 2015.

Speaking to Gigwise at the Bushmills Festival, taking place this week on Ireland's North Coast, Lightbody is performing alongside former REM star Michael Buck in their collaborative project Tired Pony - alongside Luke Sital Singh, James Vincent McMorrow and The 1975.

Speaking to Gigwise at the whiskey-fuelled event, Lightbody told us: "There won't be a Snow Patrol record this year, it will be next year."

He also added that he was "gutted" that the new record hadn't been finished in time to mark Snow Patrol's 20 year anniversary. The band were formed in 1994.

Ghostface Killah Says His Album with MF DOOM is Coming Out in 2015

The long promised DOOMStarks is due next year, according to the always reliable Tony Starks. Look, we’re not saying it’s set in stone. But when Ghostface Killah deigns to take part in a Reddit AMA and chooses the inevitable DOOMStarks question out of only about seven queries he can be bothered to answer, we’re taking it as A Sign. Asked by ‘InvadingCanadian’ if the album collaboration with DOOM is ever coming, Ghostface replied simply: “Yes its coming out 2015.” So there you go. The pair started working on the album, named DOOMStarks in reference to Ghost’s superhero alter ego Tony Starks, more than seven years ago.
