^Oh my god I laughed so hard when I saw that. It gives me such a lame but happy feeling inside to know that my two favorite bands and the people related to them seem to get along so nicely :wacky:

Get along well enough to trade sexual favors, I guess

I saw the tweet when I was having a meeting at my bank and I just couldn't laugh but needed to so badly...

I'm in love with the cover of the Cars they did with Jarvis Cocker!

They were really good at Reading :nice:

I've definitely heard it, but right now I can't remember...is that the one where he's being kind of abused by callers? Or is that another time? I think it must be another time because I think in the one I'm thinking of, someone mentions something about Gwyneth and Chris...or maybe I'm just being crazy. Sorry, I've had caffeine and I got overexcited with this thread appeared with new posts in it :P

I'll listen to it later :wacky:.

yes they mention Chris and Gwyneth, and he is being abused by some callers but that's par for the course on Howard's show..

Even though Julian sounds totally wasted,he does sound so adorable in the interview

I'm pretty sure that's from 2005/6 instead...2002 was before a lot of the world knew about Coldplay and Chris and Gwyneth had even met.

There are few times I don't find Julian adorable :dazzled: *fangirl*

did you mean there are VERY few times that you dont find Julian adorable or did you mean what you wrote...

ALso Julian said he's 24 in the interview and also someone during the interview said that Chris and Gwyneth are dating..That's why I figured it's 2002..

Is there another interview of Julian and Howard??

LOLZ, Yeah, you know what I meant. Meaning that I ALWAYS find him adorable. I'm a bit spazzy and scattered today. The smiley was the real point :P

It might very well be 2002, that's right when Chris and Gwyneth got together. I just always figured it was more recent than that regardless of his age--he also recently said he was 28 somewhere, like on some online thing, when he's really 33 . You're probably right.

Oh man, I discovered the Strokes only a few months ago, yet I'm such a Julian fangirl already :dazzled:

:blank:

Pride is there, definitely, it's just...I feel old, and I hope they stick it out for longer! Also, I've been flapping around like an idiot for music for ten years, which is prideful but also hilarious :P

I've been a Strokes fangirl for ten years this weekend :disappointed:

Wow. You've been there since pretty much the beginning, then. :surprised: That's impressive.

Yeah, one of the only bands that I've been there for from the very start (that haven't only been around for a few years, anyway). I was 11 and didn't give a single crap about music, and then in October 2001, right after the album came out, my mom bought the CD and played it in the car all the time, and there was something about that music that I loved, and I'd never been interested in music before whatsoever. They really started me down the path of musical obsession, even if it was slow going at the beginning, and they'll always mean so much to me even if they start making terrible music or something, just because of the whole new world they turned me onto :P

If The Strokes ever start making terrible music, I may just lose all hope in humanity :blank:

Me too, but they're one of only two bands that I think could go downhill in terms of quality and I'd still go see them and love them. I'd be frank about what I thought about the music, but they (and Coldplay) mean so much to me that unless the band or the people started to stand for things that I found like, morally repulsive, I'd still have more than a soft spot for them :wacky:

I agree completely. I can't imagine a time in which I would have the opportunity to see them where I would choose not to. They just mean to much to me now.

They were in Buenos Aires last week, i don´t like the band but i must admit that they are great on stage. The singer was all the time with his sunglasses, but it was cloudy, he is so cool haha. They played all their greatest hits and also some new songs. It was a great evening.

Aww, I'm glad you had a good time :nice:

I couldn't see the Buenos Aires show because the stream didn't work for me, but I watched the stream from Brazil the next night and thought they were as good as ever. It's such a shame that that's the end of the tour for this album, I think they've finally hit something of a stride. I just hope they're serious about getting back and working on the 5th album as soon as possible, because I don't think the fandom can take another huge hiatus.

I don´t know much about the band, i didn´t know it was the end of the tour :embarrassed: It´s horrible when your favorite band finish a tour and take a lot of time to work in a new album, and you have to wait and wait and continue waiting.
