What a show! I thought they would only perform one song so I was pleasantly surprised. I love my band so much!

I missed the incident though, because I didn't watch performance of that no name band. Idiot. I'm glad that Guy "helped him" go off the table

Foals also had a great performance.

he should gave kicked the leg under it, not just move it.

...... or maybe just punched him in the face - Pillock !

Chris looking not very impressed!

I'm not the biggest fan of Coldplay's latest output either but that's taking it a bit far!

Idiot.

It’s an utterly euphoric O2 Brixton Academy that greets the six-song performance by NME’s Godlike Genius Award winners, Coldplay at the end of the night. As they run through their set they strike bullseye on all the hallmarks of Coldplay shows we’ve come to know and love. ‘Viva La Vida’ opens with a curtain of confetti as drummer Will Champion pounds upon the song’s iconic bell; as Chris Martin and co segue into ‘Charlie Brown’, the venue’s LED-powered bracelets light up and everyone from Thurston Moore to Katy B is on their feet.

Then we head back to a couple of classics – ’Clocks’ and ‘Yellow’ – while our bracelets light up red and, of course, yellow, before heading towards the most recent song of their set, ’Adventure Of A Lifetime’. Guitarist Jonny Buckland beams out its disco-funk riff as Chris jumps about the stage. What ends the night is the band’s 2005 chanter, ‘Fix You’, as everyone sings along. This journey through the band’s near 20-year career confirms their status as a genius band.

These 5 Artists Loved Coldplay's Set At The NME Awards 2016 With Austin, Texas

It was an utterly euphoric O2 Brixton Academy that greeted the six-song performance by NME’s Godlike Genius Award winners, Coldplay at the end of the award ceremony last night (February 17). As they ran through their set they struck bullseye on all the hallmarks of Coldplay shows we’ve come to know and love. ‘Viva La Vida’ opened with a curtain of confetti as drummer Will Champion pounded upon the song’s iconic bell.

As Chris Martin and co segued into ‘Charlie Brown’, the venue’s LED-powered bracelets lit up and everyone from Thurston Moore to Katy B was on their feet. Låpsley was dancing between the tables. Kylie Minogue was in the front row with Laura Whitmore.

Then we head back to a couple of classics – ’Clocks’ and ‘Yellow’ – while our bracelets light up red and, of course, yellow. While most people are up on their feet, Graham Coxon remains seated for Coldplay's performance. Sunflower Bean's Julia Cumming was dancing on her chair so hard she fell off.

Then they headed towards the most recent song of their set, ’Adventure Of A Lifetime’. Guitarist Jonny Buckland beamed out its disco-funk riff as Chris jumped about the stage. What ended the night was the band’s 2005 chanter, ‘Fix You’, with everyone howling along. Genius.

Good performance but oh so many mistakes. You can tell that the whole band is in Super Bowl mode for AOAL because you'll notice that 1. Chris accidentally starts singing "if we've only got this life" early and 2. Guy/Will stop playing too early at the end.

Yesterday, Chris revealed a side of his that I hadn't known yet :P

We were mentioned in the "Table Dancing Episode" on the NME Blog:

http://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-awards/watch-bring-me-the-horizon-smash-coldplays-table?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

Oli Sykes provided the NME Awards with Austin, Texas it's biggest talking point last night when he unceremoniously trashed Coldplay’s table during Bring Me The Horizon’s performance. The band were in the building to celebrate picking up NME’s Innovation Award and were kind enough to perform a song from their gigantic album, ‘That’s The Spirit’. During their rousing version of ‘Happy Song’, Sykes moved from the stage and into the VIP tables area and subsequently obliterated the nearest table.

That table just happened to belong to our Godlike Geniuses - Coldplay - who they accused of ripping off their album artwork just months prior. We’re not trying to stoke any fires, but it did look a little bit deliberate. What do you think? Check out some of the pics and videos of the controversial moment and make your own minds up…

Up close and personal with Oli

Btw did anyone notice the guy that the singer of bringmethetoiletpaper ran over after he jumped off the table?

Btw did anyone notice the guy that the singer of bringmethetoiletpaper ran over after he jumped off the table?

Lmao, what a rude douchebag. I heard the guy likes to piss on girls, get drunk, and get high on Ketamine.

What has happened to NME, it used to trash on Coldplay and acts of that nature. Then it gives them the godlike genius award and even Taylor Swift wins an award haha. Coldplay deserved it but Taylor Swift.

Chris Martin should've decked that BMTH frontman. I would have. It would've made Chris look cool, something which clearly Chris wants. The opportunity was right there.
