COLDPLAY ROCK.. last night was amazing. Chicago is amazing.. I have videos, photos, I have everything BUT a meeting with Chris.. we waited outside last night for a couple of hours, but no luck. :(

 

We met Angie and quite a lot of other Coldplayers at the gate waiting and waiting, it was awesome to meet everyone! But eventually at 12.30 we had to admit defeat and get a taxi or risk being stranded in the middle of nowhere..

 

But we are going to try again tonight... This time he won't escape! LOL!

 

Despite all that, I LOVED the gig, the atmosphere was electric.. Oh god you girls know they never disappoint, but oh my AMSTERDAM.... love that song so much! Sharon has a video..

 

I have so many, photos, vids which I will post when I get home. the internet here is not good... I am not even sure I can post this!

 

But we had an amazing day yesterday.. another one today.. CHI TOWN rules... (unless you need a taxi! LOL)..

 

Since the hotel wifi is CRAPPY in Chicago.. here's Sharon and Row's personal messenger with some pics!!

We are going out in a bit to grab dinner, then going stalking again! Wish us luck!!

 

It was raining earlier, but it seems to have stopped now, fortunately as my t-shirt will RUN in the rain! It's just paint! LOL..

Hi! I didn't bring a laptop and am using my phone, but I wanted to check in to say "ditto." :D

 

Coldplay never disappoint, and last night was no exception. It's such a high to see da boys, the crowd was great, and it was sad to see it end. So much energy is exchanged in their show!! Itqs pure joy to go.

 

It was sad to not meet the man, but we will stalk tonight and see what happens. I'm evidently suffering from no-Chris syndrome, but since Row mentioned my shortcomings (which are plenty I admit... haha!), let me add that she didnt know how to work the elevator in the hotel NOR did know how to use the phone NOR did she know how to turn on the lights. So, I'd say we were fairly even.

 

Even if I don't meet Chris, this trip has been fantastic just because I finally met my already great friend from across the pond.

 

More later! This has all been unbelievably great fun.

I have had the best, most amazing time here. So sad it is over so quickly. I have met and made a best friend (already were, but in person we are dangerous! LOL) we have laughed, cried and had a ball..

 

I miss it already and I'm not gone yet! :)

 

You already know what I think...I'm so envying you and not just for the gig or the travel but because it's clear that you are having so much fun! It's a shame the distance between England and Virginia!

As Row mentioned, I did indeed leave my camera in the back of one of the many, many cabs in which we rode on this trip,and even after all my efforts to find it, no good samaritan donned their cape and turned it in. We did have the foresight to download the concert info onto her laptop, so if there are any decent Chris pics (and let's face it, the man doesn't take a bad picture), hopefully Row can get some up here.

 

Thanks so much for all of the pics! I've got a lot to catch up on. Off to get my drool bucket....

I was reading this fan review for the Chicago concert from http://headfortheburrows.tumblr.com/ and wanted to put this excerpt here (but you should read the review, too). This fan was very close to the C-Stage.

 

They played Speed of Sound, Us Against The World, and then they went back to the main stage to play Fix You. Luckily, they used the main aisle (where we were right next to - remember) to walk back to the stage, and in doing so allowed us to get high fives - actually I only got a high five from Guy, but I was still able to touch the rest of them on their arms, and my best friend was able to touch Chris Martin. Also, not to be weird, but fuck it because we’re fans and creeping is caring, we were close enough to smell Chris Martin (you see in the video there he paused to talk to the security guys, and that black hair in front of the camera is my friend) - and lord help me - mother may I - he smells, simply, like pure sex. Amazing.
