April 3, 200818 yr Yeah, the soundbites sound really exciting!!! Its hard to decide on the sound they're going for on this album, they originally said they were goning to try and go back to the more basic sound of H&F, which I think I'd prefer to the more ocmplicated sound of UTIS. Not that UTIS isn't good, because its amazing. I think think H&F was even more amazing-er!!!
April 26, 200818 yr Keane and Coldplay Well, when I first heard Keane's song ''Crystal Ball'', especially the line ''starting to disappear'', it reminded me of Coldplay's ''God put a smile upon your face'' video. And I always wanted to know how good would the two actually be when combined. And now, out of curiosity/boredsome I combined the two and put them on youtube :P And here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp8eRwLtGWI I think it turned out good enough. Note: If you don't like Keane, don't watch the video, because you'll probably be angry that I associated them with the Coldplay vid, hehe. I personally think that Keane is a decent band, but Coldplay is number 1 in my book.
April 26, 200818 yr Well for me it's perfect, thanks very much. Good job - the song and the video do go together well don't they :)
April 26, 200818 yr wow I love it! good work :) well, Keane one of my favorite bands! also that song from them is my favorite too! ''Crystal Ball'' Note: Coldplay and Keane are my favorite bands forever...
April 27, 200818 yr Yer, these two are my top bands as well. Coldplay out do Keane by quite a bit, but Keane make a nice 2nd favourite atm.
April 27, 200818 yr Good call! Most of them went to school together so they came up with similar tastes and influences. It fits.:)
April 27, 200818 yr Yeah and Chris asked Tim Rice-Oxley to join Coldplay at some point very early on if I remember correctly.
April 27, 200818 yr That's right, they were good friends in college and when coldplay was coming together Chris offered Tim a spot in the band as a keyboardist and he thought really hard about it too. Keane was already off the ground though, and I think Chris became less fond of making coldplay a five piece.
April 27, 200818 yr Imagine IF Tim had joined Coldplay - would have changed the course of history as we know it!
April 27, 200818 yr I look myself in the eye and there's no-one there.. that's the guy in the restroom looking at himself in the mirror disappearing :o
April 27, 200818 yr Yeah the simmilarities between the song and the vid are absolutely stunning. Also on the beggining ''Ooh Crystal ball, crystal ball, tell me life is beautiful'', showing the man in the suit, but with no shoes... that's how reality looks like, not as beautiful as the song wants it to be.
April 27, 200818 yr That's right, they were good friends in college and when coldplay was coming together Chris offered Tim a spot in the band as a keyboardist and he thought really hard about it too. Keane was already off the ground though, and I think Chris became less fond of making coldplay a five piece. Really! :shocked2: well, I didn't know about that! they went to the same college, that good if they knew each other...:)
April 27, 200818 yr I look myself in the eye and there's no-one there.. that's the guy in the restroom looking at himself in the mirror disappearing :o yes! I noticed that too! I was thinking to say the same thing...
April 27, 200818 yr wonderful video Magnus, i love it :D btw i didn't knew about what you had said here :surprised: really interesting and definitelly if he would had joined Coldplay, things would had been so different
May 7, 200818 yr Keane - Enjoy the Silence I just found this, it might interest Keane fans. It's a cover of the legendary ''Enjoy the Silence'' song by Depeche mode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTzQC9alliU
