Album 3 to be released on 3rd September. Album title details should be announced within the next month. Yay!

ARGH, my source was incorrect. It's not September, it looks like it's definitely November now.

Hopefully a good christmas release :)

And Winter tour

Hopefully they'll be making their way to the States soon, too! I've had the full spectrum of Keane gigs...saw them front row at this little intimate show in Chicago and then I've seen them from the upper level of the O2 in London.

Can't wait for this new album. Did you hear Tom's new update on keanemusic.com? The one where they ask how well things are going for Keane right now. He says, "A lot of very big bands releasing albums at the moment, and I don't think they're gonna touch what we've made." He's really putting himself out there--but it really made me exciting to hear it. All the buzz about this "Perfect Symmetry" song has got me really thrilled.

cant wait for keane's new album and for them to tour. but im not sure much will ever compare to seeing them play at summerstage in central park. it was such a great setting and not terribly crowded. i suppose one can hope. and that was the _first_ time I had seen Keane and no couples broke up around me. In a one year span, every time I saw Keane a couple broke up but none were as great as the gay couple when the guys started fighting and then kissed and made up and then broke up again.

Keane is always a good time for me :)

So who were they? The Keane queens??

LMAO - in DC surely not! just 2 random guys near my friend and I who had the _most_ dramatic relationship I had ever witnessed. We did applaud them when they kissed because it meant they stopped yelling at each other for a bit. Naturally, the love didnt last.

Yea i heard that little snippet.I doubt thats true.I like Keanes music but I dont think they will be able to touch what Coldplay or Radiohead have done.

yeah i heard that from keane too. i think thats very promising, but i dont know how they expect to eclipse the last outings by all the major bands, and more than likely the upcoming release of u2's album (maybe oasis's album will be great, hopefully). i like keane's a lot, but i think they'll always be the lower top tier if you get my meaning when compared to all the other big bands.

I don't care. UTIS was a fantastic album.;)

I like them, since Everybody's changing... One of my favorite songs ever.

Someone just posted on the Keane forum that Ben Jones has heard the new Keane single. It's called Spiraling and will be released as a free download on 4th August! Apparently, Ben also said that the new record has a very 80s feel to it.

Only a week away?? Hope I'm not getting excited for nothing!

Oh, great! Thanks! I've just watched that show on the 02 Arena on TV; only some parts were broadcast, but it was great to watch.

I'm looking forward to listening to their new record :)

august 4thhhhhhh :shocked2:

thats sick

and my lower top tier thing was not a jab if anyone thought so. i love keane. they just dont compare to the coldplays and u2s of the world in terms of my devotion.

That was an unbelievable show! I was there and luckily I have the DVD to relive it over and over again. That show, more than any of their others, really shows Bedshaped live for what it is--something quite near a religious experience!

Really? How cool, man! That's onr of my favs, also. Yesterday, fortunately, they didn't cut that off.

Great to see so many Keane fans here!

Monday!

This Monday?

Holy hell. :D

I heard that its meant to be much more electro-pop than anything in the past. Slightly scary!

Yay! Now I have a place to come and learn about secret Keane stuff!:D

In that posted interview, Tim called Spiralling a cross between Prince's "When Doves Cry," Labyrinth-era Bowie, and Keane. I'm totally intrigued, somewhat scared, and really excited by the prospect of legitimately dance-able Keane!

Oh, and a new update to their website...the daily updates have been erased, replaced by this:

I think new stuff is coming!
