The lyrics of 1.36 are great, but I don't like the song as a whole (and detest Simon Pegg croaching Yeah...Yeah...Yeah at the end) I've never heard of Lonely Views or Plays as a Coldplay cover or song. Where did you get that idea from ?

I doubt they choose a triangle like the one in Anything is Possible. Too similar to Pink Floyd's DSOTM prisma cover. By the way, I don't like that Xylo T-Shirt stuff, if it is for the AHFOD tour. Looks like we're gonna get MX 2.0.

Why did the discussion in here die ? It was such a productive thread. Calm down everybody. I have to say that to me it was clear from the ouset that this thread is about personal opinions, and everyone of us has songs he/she personally thinks of as "the worst Coldplay songs". Nobody intended the thread to be an objective rating of Coldplay's music, and that's fine. We all know what it means to personally relate to songs. Anyway, I recently thought of 1.36, which I also dislike. What's the others' opinion on 1.36 ?

Oh. I didn't initially watch the Midnight video, I just listened to it in the context of Ghost Stories. Watched the video much later and didn't like it that much, tbh. LOL, feelings are runnin' high here ! :)

Wow, what a thread. I also would have hoped the tone in Coldplay fan communities must be nicer than in other internet forums, but seems there are some brasher people around too. Hope this will not happen again, and no one should imho by the way be trolled on purpose- Coldplay fans as well as haters (although one might ask of course what's the point of being on the coldplaying.com forums if you're a Coldplay hater....) Got a question for you collectors: I am in the process of starting a collection, albeit on a very limited budget. In a record shop, I came across a strange (used) CD I'd never seen before containing a live recording from Coldplay 2000 at Cardiff University, as transmitted on BBC1, during the Parachutes tour. It's not by a real label, judging by the design it is somewhat homemade (well, it does say "AEP" on the disc, but dunno what that is. The cover looks rather poor, as if assembled in PowerPoint 2002 or something similar.) There's a pic of Chris singing on the front cover and 3 other snapshots of him on the back cover. Is this valuable ? is it worthless ? How much money would you depense for it, if you were in my place (lol) ?

I think horns were also used in Life is for Living. I still wish the guys would go back to making alternative rock, which is where they imho were best at. @diogo, sorry, but I couldn't agree less with Magic being a junction between Oldplay and electronic stuff. Magic could just have well been sung by Justin Timberlake, imho, it has a very, very different feeling to their earlier stuff. If there's anything that has elements of both old vibes and electronic sound in GS, it would be Oceans.

And of course the boulevard paper writing the article had no clue whatsoever. But then it's the same paper that failed to recognize Chris's sporting friend as Phil Harvey, so it totally fits the picture.

It also never happened to me to hear somebody saying he/she is a Coldplay fan. And not even after I asked. I know no Coldplay fans in real life... :( But the movie surely does not feature OUR Chris Martin, does it ? There's bound to be lots of Chris Martins (I know for instance one reggae singer and one football player by that name) By the way, I saw a CD containing a live recording of a Parachutes tour concert (October 2000, Cardiff University, BBC) today in a record shop. From the label design etc. it looked rather homemade. It had a pic of Chris singing on the front and three other snapshots of him on the back cover. Does anyone know if this is worth something or rare ? I didn't buy it yet 'cause it was a little bit expensive for my liking for an apparently homemade recording.
