The intro is beautiful! I like how the whole thing just kinda flows together. Very uplifting. Hope it's the next single.

Just noticed, there's Prospekts March/Poppy Fields and Postcards From Far Away/Chinese Sleep Chant. We know it's now Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant but what about Prospekts March/Poppy Fields? Another double track?

Kinda along the lines of what I'm thinking. But what I think is - Violet Hill as download only + ltd edition single (done) - Viva la Vida as physical single (CD and 7") at the end of the month or at least before the album with a few b-sides - 42 a month or two later on CD and 7" with more b-sides - Independently released single with b-sides + Bonus other songs given away in certain promotions (like NME vinyl and iTunes bonus tracks) I could be wrong though

low76 - I respect your opinion about Coldplay's new direction. Each person is allowed to think for themselves and I have no problem whatsoever with what you think of the song. What I do have a problem with is how you choose to express it. Granted you don't like them anymore, but this is a COLDPLAY message board for FANS of Coldplay and we wish to continue discussing thier new direction in peace. Maybe. This thread is making me very scared. My personal opinion is either bonus disc or a shitload of b-sides. I might be wrong though. EDIT - Hey, remember Prospekt saying "at least two top-division songs will be released independantly"? Then MAYBE we'll get a few non-album singles too (it's not uncommon)

Yup, synths are horrible in rock music which is why I love Coldplay. After all tracks like Square One White Shadows Talk Speed Of Sound A Message Low Clocks A Whisper Things I Dont Understand The World Turned Upside Down Animals Are totally synth free - right?

Well I'm not a fan of A Spell A Rebel Yell either but some of my all time favourite Coldplay tracks are Square One, White Shadows and Clocks and those are drenched in synth. It'll all got to do with the song, not the instruments used!

Just an update- looked through iTunes and I can now say Viva la Vida (song) has made the top 10 singles chart in EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD (bar New Zealand). And at #1 in a good number of countries as well. If Coldplay still needed to dominate the world, they've done it! :shocked2:

Viva la Vida (single) is now an Australian top 10 hit! That's pretty damn impressive considering the crap people buy over here nowadays. I'm thinking VLV will have to be a single now, it's done too well for it not to be.

Did you order the MP3 on Amazon or the CD? I'm betting that the acoustic LIJ and Lost? will be on the boards as soon as they're availble to download. But I'm gonna buy the gatefold CD anyway.
