FROM NME.COM CALIFORNIA DREAMING! Rumours are circulating that COLDPLAY, FRANZ FERDINAND, REM and DAVID BOWIE will play at next year’s COACHELLA FESTIVAL. The Californian festival traditionally take place at the end of April or early May at Empire Polo Field, Indio, California and last year saw performances from Pixies and Radiohead. According to Australian website Undercover, next year’s event will take place on April 30-May 1, and also feature Nine Inch Nails, The Streets, PJ Harvey, Polyphonic Spree, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Doves and Tears For Fears, amongst others. The bands are currently unconfirmed by organisers.

Celebrities who take their charity work seriously are to be recognised at an awards ceremony on Monday. Bob Geldof, Coldplay's Chris Martin and comic Lenny Henry are among those who have been shortlisted by readers of Third Sector charity magazine. "Our readers have voted for celebrities who take their charity work seriously, not as a career-enhancing bolt-on," said editor Stephen Cook. Did everyone know that Will is married and I have for some reason been left completely in the dark? Apparently it's been for about a year and I had no idea until today! So if you knew, please let me know how you found out so I can figure out how I missed something so big. :)

I just wanted to say that Chris Martin has great vocals and the way the songs are written bring out the best in his voice.I think from Parachutes to A Rush of Blood to The Head you can hear how mature his voice has become from the first to second album.I remember reading or hearing somewhere that Chris got voice lessons after the 1st album but im not sure.But for me I can really hear a difference in his voice from the 1st to 2nd album.I think for the third album he should be singing as well as he has ever which makes it even more exciting to hear.

From today's Sun newspaper in the UK: Quick phone calls to contacts at other universities and so forth suggest Glasgow University, Liverpool University, then a final date at ULU on the weekend surrounding the album's release, similar to the Kentish Town Forum album launch gig in August 2002. I really daren't think how rare these tickets will be.

Just a quick little question. ;) On track 5, entitled "In My Place (Live at MTV)", where is this MTV anyways? Like it's not an actual location, and the people singing along are PRETTY god damned rabid. So I guess my question is where was this recorded (aside from MTV, not very helpful) and when was this? Coldplay are releasing a DVD single with The Scientist video and a live track called "Lips Like Sugar" plus interview footage. "The Scientist" single will have "1.36" and "I Ran Away" and will also be available on a 7" with all three tracks. 8) 8)

Manchester is the place to be next summer, as Coldplay, U2 and Oasis are all set to rock the Stadium. According to reports, Coldplay are busy putting the finishing touches to their hotly-anticipated third album and are scheduled to play in June. Hi Guys, When coldplay bring out their new album. In your desperation of waiting so long are we going to wait until we can buy it. Or find downloads on the net if it gets out. I will listen to whatever tracks are played on the radio myself. But I wont go on the net and listen to any stuff what coldplay have not gave their consent to go out. I reckon it will be inevitable that this will happen like it did to radiohead. Coldplay have announced their first gig of 2005. The group will headline A Sounds Eclectic Evening, organised by LA radio station KCRW to take place on March 12. The original concert which was set to feature Coldplay members Chris Martin and guitarist Johnny Buckland was postponed by the station last month for undisclosed reasons.
