WORTHY CONTENDERS! THE UNDERTONES and OUTKAST are to play at next year’s GLASTONBURY festival. Festival organiser Michael Eavis also says he has asked Razorlight to perform at the event, though the band have not yet confirmed. The Undertones look set to headline the newly renamed John Peel Stage at the festival. ‘Teenage Kicks’ by the band was Peel’s favourite song. "As soon as The Undertones found about the John Peel Stage they were on the phone asking if they could play on the stage because John helped make them too," Eavis told the Bristol Evening Post. "I expect they will be headlining on the John Peel Stage on the Saturday." Eavis added: "John was a…

Madonna has been banned from the Band Aid III supergroup by Sir Bob Geldof - because she's American. It's a huge snub for the Queen of Pop, who calls herself an "Anglophile" and lives in London. She had hoped to join Robbie Williams, Oasis star Noel Gallagher, Coldplay and The Darkness to re-record the hit Do They Know It's Christmas? Madonna, 46, who is married to British film director Guy Ritchie, also missed out on the original 1984 Band Aid appeal to raise cash for starving kids in Africa. Midge Ure - who is wrote the hit with Geldof - revealed: "As Bob says, at the end of the day she's a Yank. We don't need her." But Ure hopes Madonna will take part in the L…

It's the song that became synonymous with Live Aid, the transatlantic concert which raised £60million for Ethiopia's starving children. And now two decades later Status Quo are set to go Rockin' All Over The World again and kick off Live Aid II. Music industry execs are hammering out plans for a new mega-gig to take place next summer. Coldplay, The Darkness and Jamelia have already signed up for Band Aid III, where they will record an up-to-date version of Do They Know It's Christmas? Tentative discussions about the concert originally took place earlier this year, with U2 frontman Bono the driving force. The plans were put on the back-burner at the time, but have…

Ashlee Simpson was on SNL last night and during the second song. And during her second song, the first song started playing on the tape hahaha. She didn't know what to do so she just danced around and then ran off stage. It was so priceless! Everyone knows she lipsynchs now....and then she came on during the end and was like "ahh my band started playing the wrong song...wahh" The band just kept playing the second song and then they went to commericals during the time she ran off. So obviously the band can play their instruments and Ashlee lipsynchs See it all here: http://www.collegehumor.com/news/ashlee_snl.wmv

I've just noticed... Every day I've heard that song by Maroon 5 on the radio, it's like 'She Will Be Loved,' or something... And even at work.... I noticed, on the radio, the country channel... I hear the same fucking songs everyday. Does the radio stations in your area do that? Play the same songs everyday?

possibly the best album I have heard in the past 2 years. This is mind-blowing stuff. :o :D :D :D Richter is a British-based, German-born pianist and composer. Following 2002's highly-acclaimed 'Memoryhouse' - performed by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and released on the BBC's classical label, Late Junction - 'The Blue Notebooks' is his second solo album, a distinctive and adventurous work that is beautifully recorded and cinematic in scope. Opening with a text from Franz Kafka over a sparse piano melody, the album moves through gorgeous, heart-wrenching string swells of 'On The Nature Of Daylight' (which quotes a tune from 'Memoryhouse'); through to sparse …
