I have quite a few to choose from this year... but, based on some fellow boardies recommendations.. I purchased these cds and found myself pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed them very much. The first of these... Keane- Hopes and Fears At first I found myself saying.. "bah.. I cant get into this record"... but I slowly grew into it.. I started listening to it everynight before I went to bed.. and BAM! I fell in love.. it also happens to be the my best album pick for 2004. :cool: (thanks Esther! :kiss:) The second one... Anyone got Adem - Homesongs? Really really good. Starts of slow, but give it time and a few listens and it's probably up there with Damien Rice or Tom McRae. Slightly different style though. Life is for living, hope your all living it well. x

New York band Scissor Sisters have won a gig of the year award for their performance at this year's V Festival. The award was voted for by listeners of Virgin Radio, which compiled a top 10 which was mostly dominated by newcomers on the music scene this year. These guys from my school did a cover of Purple Haze at the Variety Show and it was awesome. The guitarist was even doing the solo with his teeth. After hearing Purple Haze for the first time, and live the first time too, I downloaded it, and that's how I got here! Electric Ladyland is the most tripped out cd I have ever heard.
