Like a few other tracks on the album, the title track on AROBTTH is not only not in standard tuning, it's is not tuned with A=440hz. The tuning for anyone interested is E-A-D-G-B-C. I have also determined it's approximately 18 cents sharp, just sounded right by ear. could be 15 could be 20 not sure. The scientist played acoustically uses the same tuning although it doesn't need to be sharp. He lets the c note ring open throughout both songs. I'm referring to videos of Chris martin playing the scientist on guitar, obviously he plays piano for the album and live. https://soundcloud.com/cedmo013/arobtth

Now, I've noticed this section of the forum is not so active so I hope no one takes offense or thinks I'm full of myself for dedicating a thread to myself. From now on, I'll post tabs and maybe some covers here and whatever tickles my fancy. Frankly, I'll probably forget about this thread in a couple weeks and it'll fall through and if that's the case, well it was good while it lasted. :p If you have any requests, well...frankly, I'm not actually that good. Send Kapone a letter. :p Here's what I've been up to today...it's Yellow; I'm sure most of you have seen some of this before, but the difference is that this tab includes all of Jonny's oddities and fills from the V…

Guys, I seriously need your help. I am to perform next week and someone has requested Coldplay's cover of Billie Jean. I have scoured the net looking for Will's rhythm guitar part looking for some help, but to no avail have I found anything. I am calling upon my friends here on Coldplaying to see if you guys can help me out. I would sincerely appreciate it.

I originally posted something about the B side "animals" which i personally always liked. But for whatever reason, thought i'd put the acoustic guitar with square one because i had a feeling it'd sound good. And as elecronic as the song sounds, I would bet the wrote it on guitar, mostly because each chord fits perfectly in the signature style of leaving the bottom strings open and tuned to fit the key of the song. Square One in particular makes me wonder why X&Y gets trashed as an album so often, especially in comparison with it's critically acclaimed descendant, VLVODAAHF (that's a ridiculous acronym, maybe I'm supposed to leave out some of those letters). X&…

Hey guys I did a short cover of Up In Flames on a piano. I didn't finish the whole song because I thought it would be too repetitive. I played in a really simplistic and minimalist way so don't expect some sort of tremendous improvisations because I'm not that skilled. I hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless. :D [ame= ] [/ame]

I had never heard this song, Bigger/Stronger, until only a few weeks ago, which is always fun because i've been pretty diehard since i heard the first three chords to yellow on the radio in 2000. Anyway, i figured this one out (bigger stronger) and am again impressed with the chord sequencing and the sophistication he shows here especially in the chorus. How old could he have been when he wrote this? especially in a time when there weren't exactly a ton of internet resources. It also shows that signature guitar style of generally leaving the high E and B strings, whatever they might be tuned to, open for the majority of his barre chords. Does anyone know if he can ta…

Hey guys Just wanted to share this solo of LIJ. The chorus is out of time but I think I got pretty close to JB's tone for the outro :) Let me know what you think http://soundcloud.com/#jorge-cristiano-fernandes/lij-solo/s-2R3jN

Hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I'm more of a guitar player than I am a vocalist (actually just started to sing not too long ago) so go easy on me haha. Anyway, hope you like it and constructive feedback is welcomed! [ame= ] [/ame]

hey guys, I covered U2 and Jonny Cash's song Wandering. If you haven't heard youtube now! It's such a beautiful song both U2's live performance and the studio track with Cash. Very quickly done but I approached the song with a different perspective. https://soundcloud.com/jorge-cristiano-fernandes/wndr/s-2kuQx

Whenever I upload a cover 100% created by me.... A Coldplay song or Muse song or any... I get the "matched 3rd party content" thing that disables monetization. The videos are still up but they cannot be monetized. And what's stupid is it says "At 00:23 you used "COLDPLAY -ATLAS (HUNGER GAMES SOUNDTRACK" like I used a sample of the song but I clearly didn't. It's just me. Every sound. So... how do some people like Boyce Avenue or even just normal people like Christina Grimmie make profit off of their covers? I don't get it. There are websites like "Maker" and "Fullscreen" that apparently you can get "partnered" with and they will pay you for your Youtube videos a…

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone with a GT20 would take some measurements for me? My Coldplay tribute band (Coldplace) are having a replica GT20 case made to house the stage piano we currently use. We currently use something similar and whilst it does the job, it is not a very good replica of Chris's piano. For the record, due to space in the van and the weight it is not possible for us to take a real GT20 on the road unfortunately :-(. We can make the replica split into two parts for easier transportation. I have attached an image below, the measurements I need are the height, width and depth of the main body, plus No's 7, 15 & 18 from the diagram. Also…

Hi guys, Partnership on YouTube has been around for a while...I've never attempted to apply via Youtube/Google; mostly because I am unfamiliar with the process and what it involves. I'm also lazy. However, I was recently offered a contract with a 3rd party company called Fullscreen. I've done some research, and they are a Youtube certified company and everything. They've offered me a 80/20 split of monetization, some other little perks are that there won't be any copyright issues with my piano covers, granted that they are part of Universal Music Group, and are included in the Fullscreen library of songs (which I'm told includes over 150 000 tracks). The one who cont…

So I've written this song... and i wanna upload it to youtube but i'm sick of getting like 10 views. so i figured i'd put "tribute to..." or "for fans of..." to get more recognition. But I can't really figure out who it sounds like... So if any of you guys have any ideas, it'd be much appreciated. I know it's not as good as any professional artist but just sort of a homage to someone. And I also figured if other people wanna do the same they could post their song here as well. https://soundcloud.com/coldplayfan-2/brain-waves

Hi guys, Don't post very often on this forum. But I was figuring out Atlas on guitar. Came up with some of the chords: CAPO 2: 355400 133110 577600 799700 022000 Chorus: 022100 133110 577600 355400 All relative to the Capo. Maybe someone can correct me, and make it into a full tab? I can't find all the correct chords, I never had music classes.

Hey everybody, :) I tried to tab the solo at the end of the song "ATLAS ". I'm quite sure it's not very accurate since I can't figure out some part of the solo. I imagine a big reverb and a smooth overdrive for it (bridge pickup). With a fast delay for the ringing note. If you disagree, feel free to correct :). e|---14--13--14---18---16~~--14------------------------- B|---------------------------------16--14--------14-------- G|----------------------------------------15--16----- B|------ A|------ E|----- e|-----------14---16~~/18/16--14------------------------- B|---14--16------------------------------16--14---------------- G|-------------------------…
