  1. Started by Spider-Man,

So my friend and I recorded this song of ours yesterday. We played it for the first time so there are mistakes in it. He is mainly a guitar player, but played the drums along with it. I messed up the ending but all in all I think its alright. However, I could use some feedback from others. Thanks. :) [ame=http://soundcloud.com/lifeoftechnicolor/a-thousand-leagues-under-the-2]A Thousand Leagues Under The Sea by LifeofTechnicolor on SoundCloud - Hear the world?s sounds[/ame]

  5. I think the song has High E tuned to D (Maybe?) and with a capo on the 7th fret, but I'm not sure about the chords. Someone posted some ages ago that didn't really work. So I was hoping does anyone know? Side Note: There are so many songs played with that tuning. Princess Of China, Sparks, Wedding Bells, Warning Sign, Green Eyes; it's awesome.

  7. I don't know how I did it, but I instantly figured out the tuning and chords. (Also how are you supposed to say Chris's name? Like this: Chris's or this: Chris'?) You can watch the performance here: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BbDsEQVT98]Lily Allen "The Fear" with Chris Martin at Under 1 Roof at Eventim Apollo in London 12/19/2013 - YouTube[/ame] Tuning: EADGCF There is only two parts to the song; the verse and the chorus. The verse involves finger-picking that i can't be bothered to work out. It seems to work if you just strum it. Verse: There are only four chords in the verse. E-1- A-3- D-3- G-2- C-0- F-0- E-1- A-3- D-1- G-2- C-…

I believe in almost every respect, that is tutorial is correct [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPZOq9Omk1Y]How to play Atlas on piano - Coldplay - Tutorial - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXbzmHeUrWc]Chris Martin Performing "Atlas" At the Hollywood Film Awards - YouTube[/ame] but when I watched Chris Martin's latest performance, I found that during the chorus he is playing something different to the tutorial. I think Chris is playing C# F# C# F# on the right hand and the chorus chords on the left but it doesn't seem right. Could anyone help? Also I could use help with how to play the solo and the ending. Thanks in advance.

Hey. Here is how I have it worked out so far. don't think it's all the way there accuracy wise, but it's close. when i get the chance I'll tab it, and if there are any chords that sound way off, just let me know. my ears might be a little tired from listening to this one a few too many times. Cheers. :) https://soundcloud.com/cedmo013/prospekts-march

Ok I saw a video a couple of days ago with Chris playing at a small venue. He gets his guitar and proceeds to play the first verse of Paradise before changing to the Scientist. (This is when I realised they basically use the exact same chords.) Anyway I decided to try and decipher what Chris would've played had he finished Paradise. Here are the results. I could use some help though. Thanks to Kapone for The Scientist chords. Thanks To Charlie17 for some help. Hey guys, I spend a lot of time trying to figure out how Chris plays things live on my piano. I found a chord I think he uses live A LOT when playing Fix You, which isn't necessarily apart of the original song itself. I don't normally make these types of threads and I never have before but figured for others it might be helpful. The normal way I play it is with the familiar chord of G, A#, D# G, A#, D, D# However, at the end of for instance "When you try your best but you don't succeed." Instead of playing the normal G, A#, D, D#, you can play instead this chord: G#, A#, D, D#. It's simply moving up from G to G#, while playing B flat on the base, …

I've been "playing" piano for around 7 or 8 months now, and I am confident that I have the chords worked out, but I have a feeling he plays inversions or something and my feeble guitar oriented mind can't seem to figure it out. Piano is pretty amazing though. Love it, but it's frustrating to hear he's playing a Gmaj, Amaj, and Fmaj(add9) yet it doesn't quite sound the same. I tried scouring the piano section. any help would be appreciated. I can try to return the favor somehow if possible via guitar although i doubt there are many mysteries left to be solved.

I heard this song for the first time a few months ago. Definitely grew on me. I kind of stubbornly tried to work it out on my own, and while i don't think it's wrong..i don't, well its definitely not the way it's played on the EP. I'm happy with how this came out, it's about have coldplays studio track faded in an out from me doing my version. It's pitched down one semitone cause I think this song just sounds better in Eb. Ironically, the album track has no trace of a vocal treatment except some reverb and probably compression, but my amateur recording uses everything available in the free world. haha. guess chris martin doesn't need help like i do in that dept. Hello all, I'm wondering whether anyone has this said guitar (which has been used by Chris and Jonny at times) and was wondering on their opinions on how it plays and anything else worth mentioning. Also, if you have any good pictures of Chris (or Jonny) using it, I'd be very thankful if you could post them here. Cheers.

Hey everyone! I know there are many fix you tabs/chords out there, but all of them seem to miss a subtle but beautiful bass movement in the bridge section of song. So this is how the chords are played by coldplay themself: Intro & Couplet: Eb - Eb/F - Eb/G - Bb/D - Eb/C - Eb/Bb This chord progression is just repeated over the intro and all couplets except for the last one. Chorus: Ab - Bb - Ab - Bb - Ab - Bb The bridge uses the following chords Eb - Absus2 - Eb - Bbsus4 - Bb This is repeated many times, but the last two times are a little bit diffent. They have a intresting bass line wich is played as followed: Eb - Absus2 - Eb - Bbsus4/D - Bb…

  23. Started by Kacey,

Hey guys, bit of a different question here... I've been looking for other musicians to form a band, so I made an ad on kijiji. I've just received a reply from someone who's looking for a pianist to play at their wedding. She is looking for someone to play for around two hours, I could technically play whatever I wanted, as long as it's slower paced or more romantic songs. Haven't decided yet if I will do it, but at the end of the day, it's more exposure I suppose and easy money for two hours. If I do it, I haven't a clue what to charge. I've looked around a bit online and saw prices from $150-250. Any ideas?

Hi :) I just wanted to tell that we (me and my band, S0FA) just posted a cover version of the legendary Coldplay song "Viva la vida". If you are interested - serch for "S0FA Viva la Vida" on YouTube :) Best regards from Cancellara

  25. I'm trying to think of how many coldplay songs are done with the tuning of EADGBD#. Yellow, Shiver (they had one string different on that one), swallowed in the sea, white shadows...i think i'm forgetting a few. they got some good milliage out of those chords that sounds oh so nice with that tuning. Hard to believe white shadows and yellow are pretty much the same chords. https://soundcloud.com/cedmo013/untitled-1-2
