I cant believe there wasnt a thread for this yet... so here it goes.. Tonights show was probably one of the best Grammy's I have ever seen in a real long time!! I had no idea Franz Ferdinand was even nominated!! I dont think they won any though... :embarrased: The opened up the show along with 4 other acts in a conclusion to the act was a giant mish mosh of all the songs performed at once.. which I thought was pretty cool because the pre shows kept emphasizing on how different music is morphing different sounds together like gospel and hip hop.. and rock with rap, country and r&b.. etc... but for me the best performance was from Kanye..... damn! That all I c…

Do any of you watch cricket? My family's always been quite crazy about the sport, and we watch it every opportunity we get [which really isn't much, since not many people in the US really know the rules of cricket]. If you do watch cricket, who are your favorite players?

The hip hop artist...not the city. He tried to commit suicide..but his security people stopped him. They locked him in a room and when they came back to check on him, they found that he gouged his eye out!!!! Apparently he was really depressed and was previously hooked on a drug that when taken in high doses causes one to be suicidal or manically depressed. Read more here: http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2005/02/0302.cfm Crazy.

Gosh, I haven't been on this forum for like a year! I'M BACK BABY! Anyway, I want to see how many Lord of the Rings geeks come on this site. I am officially a geek now because I attended the LOTR convention! I met Dominic Monaghan and Sean Astin. I literally almost ran into Billy Boyd on his way to the restroom... and I saw Elijah from a few feet away. The guys eyes ARE really that blue! :stunned:

I love reading the books, and the films aren't too bad but until last night I'd not heard the audio version. We were working overnight in the shop so put on the unabridged Goblet of Fire over the store's stereo system. Stephen Fry is amazing. He reads them so well, and his Voldemort was really spooky. Shame they're so expensive otherwise I'd buy the lot right now!! Does Stephen Fry read the US version or do you guys have one of your celebs reading them?

In case you haven't noticed, I happen to live in Philadelphia. And in case you haven't noticed (if you either live outside of the United States or live under a rock), our beloved Eagles have FINALLY made it to the Super Bowl. It only took four times. HALLELUJAH! Anyway, I couldn't possibly be more excited about a sporting event. This has been the longest week of my life, I think. So let's hear it. Everybody say it with me: E A G L E S EAGLES!!!!!

Does anyone else like this show? It's a 12 part series, at about 80 minutes each. We are currently up to about episode 6 or 7, Series 1 and Series 2 is underway soon in the US. Dark, thought provoking, in-depth characters are some words to describe this show. ;) My favourite characters are Ben, Sophie and Samson.

Sir Paul McCartney has broken his silence over people who criticise his wife, Heather Mills McCartney. The former Beatle said he wanted to "set the record straight" in a message on his wife's website. He joined Mills McCartney's sister, Fiona, in defending his wife against the "spiteful, nasty, personal and, untrue" stories by some journalists. Mills McCartney has endured a barrage of press criticism and reports of family strife since they wed in 2002. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4239341.stm :stunned:
