  4. Coverage of the YouTube video-overnight success of Ted Williams, a homeless Ohio man with a golden radio voice, focuses on his new opportunites to become a sports announcer, maybe with the Cavaliers. But this morning, when he appeared on NBC's Today show, Williams turned that new-found voice directly to God. His new-found faith brought joy to his stuggling life (troubled by addictions and 10 years on the street) he told Matt Lauer. And all the suprising joy of his second chance, he offered up in thanks. First, he told the CBS Early Show: One of my biggest prayers that I sent out was that (my mother) would live long enough for me to see me rebound or whatever, and I …

  8. BT's new service is opposed by some campaigners BT Content Connect service faces 'two-tier net' claims BT has introduced a controversial service that some say could allow broadband providers to create a "two-tier internet". Content Connect, as it is known, allows Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that use BT's network to charge content firms for high-speed delivery of video. It could spell the end of so-called "net neutrality", where all traffic on the net is treated equally. Critics say it will also reduce competition for consumers. "This is a sea change in the way that content is delivered by ISPs," Jim Killock of the net freedom campaign organisation, the Op…

Setting New Year single alarms was to no avail iPhone alarms hit by New Year glitch A glitch on Apple's iPhone has stopped its built-in alarm clock going off, leaving many people oversleeping on the first two days of the New Year. Angry bloggers and tweeters complained that they had been late for work, and were risking missing planes and trains. Apple has acknowledged the problem and says it will be fixed by 3 January. The reason has not been given but the glitch appears to affect single alarm settings on the iPhone 4 and earlier models with software updates. A similar problem hit the iPhone alarm when the clocks went back in November, again causing many user…

Oscar-nominated British actor Pete Postlethwaite has died at the age of 64, a spokesman has announced. Journalist and friend Andrew Richardson said the actor, who was appointed OBE in 2004, died peacefully in hospital in Shropshire after a lengthy illness. In 1994, he was nominated for an Oscar for In The Name of the Father. Ex-girlfriend Julie Walters said he was a "big part" of her early acting career and praised him as "the most exciting, exhilarating actor of his generation". Walters, who began her career by touring pubs in a theatre group with then-boyfriend Postlethwaite, said: "He invented edgy. "He was an exhilarating person and actor." Pete Po…

i believe it is completely necessary to start a thread for the genius poet Arthur RIMBAUD. for those who are unaware of this poet I advice you to check him in the Wikipedia. Arthur poems are wise, indicative and so dark. Several senses are fled in his poems, all you have to do is to gravitate between words and try to figure it out. obviously his poems are best in French, translations are NOT as brilliant as the originals. here's a selection.

  15. Hey all. last night I created an account with ditto music, used my PayPal account to pay for a service. It was an Upgrade package which included my music being sent to iTunes and Spotify, a barcode (free), and an app (also free). This all came to £4.40. It all worked, but I can't see any evidence of it working on the website. Of course I don't know what it is I'm to do now, as I only just created an account, haven't uploaded any songs, or released anything to any store. My question is, what should happen, and will it only take effect once I release a batch of songs?

Polar Bear: Spy on The Ice used hi-tech "spy cams" to get as close as possible to the bears during summer in the Arctic islands of Svalbard. The Tumblr logo was a random black and white picture. On facebook it looked like my cousin uploaded a picture of my friend. I've un-installed it and reinstalled but it's still doing it and it's starting to get quite annoying at this point. Has anyone else ever had this problem? :uhoh:
