How independant are you at this moment? Do you rely on others in any way? Be it financial, or emotional? I dont know, I live on my own, so I do my cooking, cleaning and washing. My parents live over the sea, everything I pay for comes from my hard work, so financially, nobody is covering me, but me. Emotionally, yeah I guess I would be pretty sad if I didnt have certain people around me. I think people do help me out, but its because I'm a nice guy and I'd do the same back. I dont rely on their help, they kind of impose it, and I accept unless I think they are just trying to be nice. In situations like when a friend makes me a meal, or buys me a beer, or he…

Time for an awkward and boring question about moral issues that will just make you squirm a little and want to navigate away to another part of the forum. But in the back of your head, its still here. EDIT: Actually, you didnt kill anyone, but it looks like you did, and there was nothing to back you up as to how they died. Would you come clean about it? If you didnt, you'd get away with it. Situation is simple: Admit to it with your 'story' of how they killed themselves (Which is seen as false inarguably) and go to serve a life sentence in prison. OR, dont tell anything, and get away with it. I wouldnt, ha-YECK no.

Julia's thread just kinda made me think of something I used to think about a lot, how most of us are just working to live. As kids and growing up we are told to pursue the things that make us happy, but how can all of us possibly do that? Some people have to push the petrol pumps, others have to box frozen chicken, some have to check paper quota's in a shitty office. We cant all be happy in our jobs, and I'd say that 99% of us are not. Do you prosper happily from being in the work or schoolplace? Or is it a matter of just waiting until you get out of there and dreading the thought of going back in?

How much time of your day and usually when do you spend it here on the forum? Do you go on at home, at school or at work, at both? I sometimes go on at university, when I'm on during the day on weekdays it means I'm at uni library in city. But I'm mostly on when I get home. I usually am on here about 2am-4am, about 2 hours a day, sometimes more sometimes less. I spend most of the day with friends but at around 2am its just kinda time to go to bed, but not for me. I dont need much sleep, so I come on here.

MySpace Is The Trojan Horse Of Internet Censorship Media elite's last gasp effort to save crumbling empire Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones/Prison Planet.com | March 16 2006 MySpace isn't cool, it isn't hip and it isn't trendy. It represents a cyber trojan horse and the media elite's last gasp effort to reclaim control of the Internet and sink it with a stranglehold of regulation, control and censorship. Since Rupert Murdoch's $580 Million acquisition of MySpace in July 2005, it has come from total obscurity to now being the 8th most visited website in the world, receiving half as many page hits as Google, despite the fact that on first appearance it looks li…

Why does it come on like this? I hope it doesnt last long. I've been so happy and content, consistently, for such a long time, and tonight, something just hit me. I dont even know what it is, it feels like its dug under my ribcage, that sinking feeling. I feel, fucking awful. Anyone else experience this at any time?

The amout of people who have no idea how to come up with good, interesting or lightheartadly funny conversation is remarkable. Whenever there are silences in a conversation between me and someone else, I always assume that I am being the boring one, when in truth I'm starting all the conversation and they are killing it by never having anything left to say. Someday soon everyone is just going to shutup and we are never ever going to speak to eachother again. Lets talk about the weather. Cold out.

This idea for this thread came to me just now......because we are talking about a sucking band from "germany" in the german thread, which is becoming popular here..... So there are these 3 turkish-german boys..... they definitely can't sing.......and there song is crap...the text is shit etc.....no talent at all..... they advertised themselves on the net and now they got a record contract..... Yesterday they were guests at a german TV show which is really famous here.... Today....so many people talked about them.... No.....I'm really upset now......that such a shit can even become popular....arggghhh...I hate that..... Ok I can't change it..... But when I go…

Well.......... In our german lessons we are still talking about the romantic era in Germany (19th century) Damn....and i love this topic...... connected with 2nd dimension etc..... So yesterday we talked about a poem which was called "ode to the night" (I translated it free now)....... and we came to the conclusion......and yes I loves this statement by my german teacher...... that....... "At day we are just machines that just "work" and at night we are humans!" I loved it.....just wanted to tell you that......give your opinion....or not.....but I loved it!

Yeah, yeah. I was sitting in my biology class today and we're getting into evolution and this kid looked at a picture of giraffes first with shorter necks, then with the long ones. Then she asked the substitute, "Do you think they used to have shorter necks?" "No," she said. "So you think they've always had long necks? What about humans evolving from apes or whatever?" "There is absolutely no science that backs evolution up. If you think about it, it all supports creation. No matter how many textbooks they have the theory of evolution in, it'll never make sense." Now... I think I believe in evolution because I can't believe we were created, boom, the …

this situation: school more specifically I hate my major. I don't neccessarily hate school because I love some classes. I love learning about some things and being around other people in a social atmosphere. But I hate my major because whatever I make will not make people happy as an engineer, especially myself. I'm not going to look at what I made and obsess over it. For those that do I am sooo glad they are there, but it's not me. So now that I've explained what it is that I hate my conclusion is that I should move on to do the things that I want. Otherwise I am hurting and in turn hating myself. If I can't do things for myself then I'm not loving myself. Loving eve…

i mean when you're in a group and nobody is sharing your opinion. you just know the thing you're gonna do is completely wrong, but your unable to persuade them. that happened to me yesterday and i really dunno what to do about it. i was working with people i hardly know, but they know each other. i told them what i think about their decision of course, but they didnt want to understand me. i could've refused of course, but basically i couldn't. because if i did, it would have felt like cheating them. i have nothing against them, they seem to be really nice girls, plus i dont know any other people in that course and we're gonna have to do some excursions with this cours…

In our English class we have been discussing equality and the idea of social standings and utopia. We studied this story - Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut Some points from my discussion: "Would the society in the story Harrison Bergeron be considered a utopian society? Would a utopian society be a place of happiness? Angelfire.com describes a utopia as a place of ideal perfection in all aspects of existence. The way in which every person thinks of every other person in the same way means that nobody would ever be judged poorly based on looks, talent, characteristics etc. This is a strong example of utopia. Depending on the person, this would be considered a…

Does not exist. This is an opinion, not a question, but you can respond disagreeing of course. How can anyone be happy, consistently, all the time, for anything more then a week? There are times when we are frustrated, angry, sad, bored (Boredom is a MAJOR depression which doesnt get noticed). Superficial Happiness: Happiness is only a measure of the sadness you felt before it. Nobody is happy all day long. The novelty of doing anything eventually wears off, just like playing the new playstation game or getting smacked up and doing lines off a crackho. True Happiness: Is only achieved when you have worked very hard for it. Like losing weight or passing a…

...Are put on a pedestool because they are famous, despite being just normal people. Why is it that Eminem's and Bono's political comments are more relevant then actual political commentators? Johnny Depp angered a lot of hick patriotic Americans by referring to US as a "dumb puppy" in politics. His argument though was that he should be allowed to discuss his viewpoints, because hes just an actor and it shouldnt change anything.
