Liam is furious Noel delayed their world tour by perfecting their latest album, Don't Believe The Truth. And he advises his sibling and Coldplay - whose album X&Y was also delayed by writing difficulties - to spend less time complaining and more time writing if they want to meet their deadlines. When asked what Noel and Martin talk about, Liam sneered, "The struggles of being a writer in a big band. The struggles they had. It's bullshit. It's fucking easy. Get into the studio and fucking work, and if it don't work, try harder. I should be halfway round the world on tour now, rocking, but we've taken ages to make this fucking record." July 12, 200521 yr Liam is the best front man for the last decade easy, he's probably says stuff to get a reaction and you are all sucked in every time! i mean he's slagging off his own brother who pretty much made him a millionaire! his interviews are always hillarious, never serious just all about banter and having fun, proper rock and roll, he's not the brightest and he knows it but id rather go down the pub with him for pint and have a laugh than go down and listen to chris martin yap on about the worlds problems

July 13, 200521 yr What I mean is, as a songwriter, I was having a creative block for a long time and I just sat around waiting for some ideas to come into my head. But the only way you can write songs is by continually writing, its so easy to put down a guitar or walk away from the piano when you are thinking of nothing but shit, its harder to stick with it all day long, week in, week out. Noel and Chris would have finished a long time ago if they had devoted all their time to writing material. I only put a couple hours of my time into trying to write something with a guitar, and I was getting somewhere, slowly, but getting somewhere. Chris Martin and Noel Gallagher have all day for months to sit there and think of new and shitty ideas and keep coming up with them until they have something decent, its how it works for those artists who cant write songs out of nowhere, and have to bluff.
July 13, 200521 yr Waitaminit...when did Chris say they delayed their album because he had no lyrics? Everywhere I've read and heard they have said that it just didn't sound good, because one would go in and record their part then leave, then the other, then the other and so on...finally they worked together and it sounded right.

July 14, 200521 yr the guy is right most of the time. he still is an unpredictable ass sometimes, but he has come into his own as a songwriter and I find his tangents entertaining. the music industry needs more straight-shooters like him. also, his songs on Don't Believe The Truth were the best on the record, which I found to be superior to X&Y.
