his voice used to grate on me bt once you listen to him quite a few times you get used to it. i dont mind him but hes definintly not worthy of knockin X&Y off number 1.

I don't think he'll be around that long. He doesn't stand out enough.

I'm not into James Blunt at all, someone played his album at a family gathering and all the songs sound the same! He's also very simliar to David Gray. David Gra's songs are better though!

David Gray's got more talent in his little finger than David Blunt has in his entirety.

And David Gray isn't a "pretty boy" so he has to succeed on his talent alone! :)

What do you think about this new artist? I think everyone have heard the hti You're Beautiful, but the whole album is really good. So, any opinions?

Like Elton John when? Way in the past, when he was producing some memorable songs, or in the last few years or so, when he has just been churning out self-indulgent, forgettable, insipid rubbish (including soundtrack garbage)?

From what I've sound of James Blunt so far, he sounds very unexceptional.

oh dear...

perhaps my taste in music is a little awire ... i mean i have been getting into goth metal lately...hmmm :/

but i really like james blunt's work, his voice is so distinctive and fragile, Beautiful really touched me not just because the words but the composition of the song and the melancholy vibe.

plus i really like how its not decorated with extras it's just a guy and his guitar (albeit sometimes with a keyboard guy) it reminds me of the old troubadours who used to travel with just their guitars singing to people wherever the went.
