August 8, 200520 yr his voice used to grate on me bt once you listen to him quite a few times you get used to it. i dont mind him but hes definintly not worthy of knockin X&Y off number 1.
August 8, 200520 yr Here is a recent list of singers/groups prior to James Blunt who have been similarly hyped beyond belief: Katie Melua Jamie Cullum Il Divino Steve Brookstein G4 Both Bedingfields Charlotte Church Lucie Silvas Girls "Shouldn't Be" Aloud.
August 9, 200520 yr So the answer to the question appears to be a big fat "No"!! :D He should quit now while he's behind!! :P
August 10, 200520 yr I think he will be a one or two albums wonder... ...But it puts Andover onto the map of singers/bands :)
August 11, 200520 yr I'm not into James Blunt at all, someone played his album at a family gathering and all the songs sound the same! He's also very simliar to David Gray. David Gra's songs are better though!

And David Gray isn't a "pretty boy" so he has to succeed on his talent alone! :)
September 4, 200520 yr james blunt - amazing album What do you think about this new artist? I think everyone have heard the hti You're Beautiful, but the whole album is really good. So, any opinions?
September 4, 200520 yr Well, i know that for a lot of people he's just making fine music, but nothing special. However, I like it, cause his music ressembles a little Elthon John. Well, we'll see when the Grammy Nominations arrive:) I suppose that not so many people have listen to the album. It's really good and refreshing, if you've listened only to You're Beautiful you cannot make a clear picture, but listen to album.
September 5, 200520 yr No. Not the high pitched ball grabber... Who is wailing over the fact that hes so LOnely

Way in the past, when he was producing some memorable songs, or in the last few years or so, when he has just been churning out self-indulgent, forgettable, insipid rubbish (including soundtrack garbage)? From what I've sound of James Blunt so far, he sounds very unexceptional. His voice is pretty bland, if you ask me...............................

September 6, 200520 yr oh dear... perhaps my taste in music is a little awire ... i mean i have been getting into goth metal lately...hmmm :/ but i really like james blunt's work, his voice is so distinctive and fragile, Beautiful really touched me not just because the words but the composition of the song and the melancholy vibe. plus i really like how its not decorated with extras it's just a guy and his guitar (albeit sometimes with a keyboard guy) it reminds me of the old troubadours who used to travel with just their guitars singing to people wherever the went.
