  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

LIJ played while I was eating out for a special occasion so I started mouthing the lyrics. A few of my friends gave me weird looks, then heard the song and said "oooh, right".... lol

Lol.

Omg does this ever happen to you?

So after watching a CP concert or a Chris interview or something, everything I think in my head is in a British accent. I dunno if that sounds crazy? But it is. And I feel like I'm gonna talk in a British accent but I obviously don't.

It's pretty odd. It's like my thoughts are English.

It's more odd if you're not native English and start thinking in English all the time, even with accent, isn't it? And my English is bad, so it makes it look even more odd.

Kept telling everyone today that it's Chris' birthday and everyone was like 'Is it? Nice. I didn't hear anything on TV/radio, wonder why they didn't mention it, he's famous, at least after Viva La Vida he is. Stupid media.' :D

OMG! It's exactly the same with me! :stunned: I catch myself thinking of what I would answer Danish people in different situations, but then realise that I can't answer that way, because I think it in English.:lol:

I spend too much time inhere.

I read that Kirsten (LittleMissMessy) heard radio mention that it was his birthday.

What the heck? Now, I feel pretty good that I can't watch that channel. :smug:

That's so funny I wanted to go here to say that :D That's really weird, I surprise myself because i think in English, which language I don't speak anymore now except on this forum ! But that especially happens when I think about Coldplay ;)

And I have a question for you english people, does Chris have a big english accent ? That's hard for not english people, but I feel he has a little lost this cute accent during the last years, no ?

i turned my friend on to more coldplay this weekend :D:D:D

Nothing more to be said, hmm? :laugh3:

Random Doofus on Street: "Yeah dude, I love Cold Play! They do that one song...what's it called...oh yeah! 'When I Ruled the World'! Such a breakthrough hit!"

It's just as addictive as turning your friend on to cocaine, except totally legal! :D

My sister is watching a talkshow in the background.. and there's a doctor talking about how brain freeze occurs.

And she said... when you eat something cold.. the blood vessels in the roof of your mouth constrict... but then when they go to dilate again... they almost dilate too much... and send a "rush of blood to your head."

the other night, i was watching TV and a commercial for a local radio station came on. it just played the clocks intro riff over and over, and it zoomed in on the AROBTTH album cover for a while before showing some other album covers (X&Y was one of them), but i thought it was weird that they were doing that with AROBTTH...that was seven years ago!

anyway, it made me smile :D

Lol.

this happens to me pretty much every day . i watch/hear/see so many british things that i can't help but think in the accent for a while after, and honestly, sometimes my speaking voice gets messed-up sounding because of it too. try actually being IN england as an american and having this happen to you! :laugh3: i definitely said something in an accent once or twice completely unintentionally. oh, i'm so screwed for living there next year!

^Tell me about it, a British businessmen and his partner come to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving every year and when my family goes over there for cake and coffee I have to literally stop myself from speaking with an accent, its horrible!

I'm planning on living in England for my junior year abroad in college in a few years and I'm sure I'll be just as screwed as you will be, too!

Hah... I guess I'm not alone then.

I was just typing in the NHL thread over in Sports and Entertainment.. and I was writing "prospects", but after I typed it and looked at it, I thought oh I spelt that wrong. Then I realized I just thought I'd written it wrong cause I'm so used to seeing and typing "Prospekt".

I was at uni with my bestie last week, waiting for her to get her ID card. There's a tv that is set to the music channel [V] As soon as she got to the top of the line, I jumped out because Life in Tech ii starts playing.

Needless to say, I got some very strange looks.

Oh wow. The same thing happened 2 me just a little while ago. 4 some reason we were talking about politics (idk why). it was this thing we had 2 write about and my teacher called me out because i spelled politik as the title. I was arguing with him that it's the correct spelling. lol

hahahha:D my friend just told me a couple days ago that ive been say "you know?" a lot lately. maybe i should stop watching so many interviews with chris in them !

OH MY GOSH! you just made me realize why i have that habit! I say "you know" like 87635 times a day and i keep thinking, why do i keep saying you know? and now i realize, it's chris's fault! well, it's my fault for watching too many interviews. :P

Hah.. yeah.

I say "you know" a lot too now.

Sometimes it doesn't even make sense.. Like I'll say something and go "or you know"

But nobody ever knows.

why are coldplay so great?

Is that a rhetorical question?

Today our class was debating on some old poem thing and having a religion debate.

And some girls was talking about how it would be considered blasphemy to believe in anything but god.. like sea monsters or Zeus or something...

And then I thought of Chris and how he'd mentioned that he believes in Zeus. And Jonny laughed at him and he said "No, I'm serious."

Woah, strange we talked about the same thing in school today!

Twenty minutes ago in the car, my ex told me that eventually I'm going to become mentally ill from listening to so much Coldplay.

THANK GOD that I ended things with her. :D

In my English class we were discussing plagiarism and ownership and my English teacher brought up the Coldplay/Santriani issue. Thought that was a cool thing.
