Watching Red Bull Stratos live and thinking, are the boys watching this?

So, earlier tonight I was in the living room, checking the Chris thread on my dad's laptop. My mom shows up, gets interesting at what I'm doing...I quickly scroll down the page ( :lol: ) but she notices Chris and she says: "OH! It's Chris, isn't it ? Chris Martin! From...from Coldplay!"

So I thought: OMG WHERE DOES SHE LEARN THOSE WORDS ?! OMG DOES SHE FINALLY REMEMBER HIS NAME AND THE NAME OF MY FAVOURITE BAND ?! :o

And THEN, she added: "Your dad and I heard him on radio today, in the car. He said something"

I was like: waaaaaaaattt :freak:

As I knew there was no French interview planned today, and nothing really new in the Coldplay world (that includes Chris talking, I mean), I asked what exactly he was saying, because that would have been very surprising if it was something new.

And well she understands nothing at English and she told me she didn't know!!!!And neither did my dad!!!!!

So I said: "it was probably one of those "Hi I'm Chris Maritn and you're listening to Virgin radio/NRJ/whatever"...wasn' it ?" She thought so :nod:

 

Damn. Training your parents is hard.

I wonder what is the most money I'd spend / what I'd give up in order to see them?

Q. Heya Oracle,

I saw this video of Coldplay performing in Japan from 2008. I have two questions.

1 : What was Chris saying in the beginning of the video? I assume it was Japanese.

2 : In the video there was a clip of them playing violins and cellos. Do they really know how to play those instruments?

1. I'm afraid I have no idea as I don't understand Japanese but yes, it was Japanese as he spoke quite a bit of it during that show (Summer Sonic, 2008).

2. They weren't actually playing the instruments in that clip but Will is our multi-instrumentalist.

He started playing the piano & violin when he was 8, guitar at 12 and finally drums at 21 - yes, really!

 

After this, I'm totally imagining Will playing violin on stage:D

So, you know that Chris wrote Nelly Furtado's All good things (and I've always found the song amazing, even before I was a Coldplay fan and discovered that Chris wrote it :awesome: )

Well, today, we had a Marketing lecture, and the teacher was speaking in English. At some point, he said: "...comes to an end". So, as it happens to me all the time with many songs, I instantly got reminded of the chorus of All Good Things, started mumbling, and my friend next to me said: omg it also reminded me of this song! It's my favorite by Nelly Furtado! Actually, Imma listen to it after the lecture! :awesome:

She's very familiar with my fangirlness over Coldplay. I went: Well, it's no wonder, it's definitely her best song....after all, Chris Martin wrote it :charming:

She made her usual :dozey: face as I tell her Coldplay stuff all the time :lol:

I felt proud :awesome:

HOLY CAKE, I didn't know he wrote it!!! BUT I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THAT SONG TOO! It's always been on my Ipod, and since I started listening to Coldplay, I added the unreleased version with Chris singing too! :dazzled::dazzled::dazzled: OMG OMG I'M TOO HAPPY!!! :dance::dance::dance:

 

 

I also feel a terrible coldplayer now. :disappointed: I thought this was just Chris lending his vocals to Nelly... But he actually wrote it! :wacky:
