I just hate having to stop listening to Coldplay in the middle of a song. :|

Same. Or just any song in general. It just ruins the feeling of being connected to music.

  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

- Chris Martin that refreshes. OR There is no life without Chris Martin.

- Everyone should believe in Jonny Buckland.

- Guy Berryman your flavor.

Awww. That sucks. :(

What about your friends? Don't they like the same music as you?

The best thing about this forum, is that you can bond with other fans, that likes the same music as you. Maybe you can get friends with someone in here, and then fangirl with them?

I have a few really nice friends from here that I fangirl with, when my friends have else to do..

thanks Louise..Well, my friends ( whom I rarely see nowadays) are not into non-Arabic music in general :( it's totally strange to them that I might be that intersted in an English band!!

the ppl here are the best..you all are very nice & helpful :) but sometimes the language poses a barrier!! some fangirliness just has to be expressed in your mother language :D

^^ Yes this.

Do your friends understand your obsession, even if they don't understand Coldplay? I have a friend with an obsession for an actor, and although I don't share this, and they don't share my thing, we can still understand one another, and have some laughs and stuff..

Whatever you can still come here and share it with us.. cos we DO understand.

oh thank you Row  Well, my sister understands my obssession, though I don't think she gets to what extent :P some of my colleagues do too, but I am at work always playing the calm sane girl ( that I am not ), so yeah..they don't get it..

I understand. I have no one who is as much into Coldplay as me. Most of the people I know don't care about them. I have a friend who kind of likes them, but doesn't know a lot of songs; and another who knows them better and loves them. But still not as much as me. She's very into football so we can fangirl a little. Me about CP and she does it with the football players :D But still I don't do that often cause I always feel like I'm getting on everyone nerves with that.

But don't worry, that's why we have Coldplaying !!! ;)

oh yes..Coldplaying is my refuge :) Well if I convert any of my friends to a coldplayer, I'll let you know;)

& that slogan maker is brilliant :D:D

Oh Claire!! How did that happen? they should have asked your permission first

that's why I abandoned facebook over 2 years ago, I find it totally invading one's privacy..

Hah that's awesome :D

yeah it is hahahha

sad it's not really Chris' handwriting..:P

the awesome: for my spanish class, our final exam is going to be a powerpoint project on the topic of our choice, as long as the topic has something to do with a spanish-speaking country, and my professor already approved my outline to do a project about the madrid concert and the butterflies and all that wonderful stuff.

the bad: every time i open powerpoint to work on it, "paradise" starts to play and i totally abandon my project to go watch coldplay videos on youtube.

this could potentially be a problem LOL

hahaha this slogan thing is hilarious. I typed in "Chris and Jonny" and the first thing that comes up is... "Sleep under Chris and Jonny for the rest of your life" lol

LOL, I understand . They're kind of distracting that way. Hopefully you'll be able to eventually get around to, um, the schoolwork .

"Guy Berryman your flavor"? :laugh3:

Couerli, I LOVE yours, those are really good :wink3:. I'm going to need to play around with that slogan maker site after I finish this post. I can see myself wasting a good part of my evening there now.

I have no one in my real life to fangirl with  I tried many times to get my sister to watch & listen to the band but she is just not into that kind of music  I even made her watch the paradise music video that I was so excited about..I was like' It's the best thing ever, it's brilliant, outstanding, out of the box video" & she was like :"Ok, it's fine, but can you turn the volume down?":disappointed:

At work, my colleague knows about my coldplay obssession but she doesn't know them..so when she watched the grammys & was commenting on the show afterwards, she mentioned " Oh, I've seen the band you like with Rihanna  but I wasn't impressed" Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I tried to say that Rihanna ruined the song but she answered back" then why have they collaborated with her in the first place..it's their fault.."

I could not but agree :embarrassed:

:( I'm sorry nobody seems to get it. And they shouldn't dismiss them because of one song/performance. It sucks to be alone in your fandom, I totally know how you feel.

If we could ever figure out the logistics and travel and whatnot, and all had the money for it, I would love it if we could all have a meetup or something someday. We could all hang out for real and just have a Coldplay-athon and such.

I was in the bus earlier, and Things I don't understand started on my mp3. I checked the next song and it was Viva la Vida (the acoustic version from the Stripped sessions in 2009 :dazzled: ) and I thought: "DAMN IT! I'll be home in the middle of VLV! :bomb:" And then, when VLV started playing, I notcied a traffic light was coming and so I thought: "Please make it red...make it red, make it red, make it red..." And it went to red! :awesome: And then someone stopped at a bus stop, and so the song ended at the very moment I entered my house :awesome:

I just hate having to stop listening to Coldplay in the middle of a song. :|

Haha, niiiiiiiiice. That's perfect! I feel that way, too .

That reminds me, I went to work recently, and as I was getting out of the car I thought I heard the faint opening strings of "Paradise" on the radio, but I wasn't sure. I was actually debating getting back in ('cause I did still have a few moments before my shift started), but wound up going in anyway, 'cause the clock can be off sometimes.

I should've tried to stick around in the car, 'cause it turns out I heard right-my mom told me later that they played that song as I was going into work ! Ah, well.

Claire, that sucks about the Facebook thing :(.

LOL, I understand . They're kind of distracting that way. Hopefully you'll be able to eventually get around to, um, the schoolwork .

in other news, i converted my spanish teacher... all it took was hearing chris speak spanish at the begining of "charlie brown" (madrid concert video) and she was an instant fan!

Woohoo! Smart teacher.

Chris speaking another language is pretty hard to resist, though .

the face he makes after saying it seals the deal ^_^

Ooh.

I'll have to go look for this. I don't think I've seen that video.

Thanks! You're right, that look on his face does add to it :D. We could study Spanish with him !

Great performance, too.

i would totally pay more attention in spanish class if he was my teacher!

and i wouldn't hit the snooze button 40 times before finally waking up for class, either!

Ohhhhhhhhh, yeah .

:laugh3: Heck, no! We'd be up early and in class like, a half hour before it started, all ready to go.

*Took Spanish in high school. Did well, but could use a, um, refresher course :shifty:*
