The National are playing with Local Natives in Chicago. I wonder whether I should go.

Dude. You shouldn't even have to ask yourself that. Even if the crappiest support act in the world were playing in place of Local Natives.

After prematurely claiming my 2011 concert calendar was done a week ago, the holiday shows have begun rolling out and I'm suddenly busy again in the next couple months with Mates of State, Feist, Naked and Famous, The Airborne Toxic Event, Noel Gallagher, Florence and the Machine (3rd time!), and Death Cab for Cutie. And then probably KROQ ACX like I do every year, but that hasn't been announced yet.

That's right, I'm finally seeing DCFC after contemplating every one of their shows over the last several years (they come through SoCal like 5 times a year) and deciding not to buy them every single time. :laugh3:

I had an epically good time both times I've seen DCFC, especially when I saw them this August--I think they put on a fabulous live show, and the setlist I had this time around was to die for in terms of my favorites!

For my own updates: I saw Coldplay twice in the past 2 weeks (yeah yeah, have at me), and I've still got The National in December
