The singer fell asleep on the sail from Arran to Ardrossan after attending his uncle Angus Fleming's funeral. Mark, 26, won Celebrity Picture of the Year at the First Scotrail Press Photography Awards. The judges, who included ScotRail MD Mary Dickson, said: "A lovely, observational image which really stood out. You really feel caught in the moment." Mark said: "I had spent the day looking for him on the island and found he was getting on the ferry. "I dumped the car and got on board. It was a shock to realise the figure lying asleep was him." March 31, 200818 yr ok, first off i want to say that i hope this guy gets stalked by a photographer on a day when one of his beloved family members is being buried. secondly, that this guy won an award for taking a picture that he then sold to tabloid mags is pretty disgraceful. it's not like this guy just saw this beautiful, sad scene and took a picture for the sake of art. he took the picture because it was chris martin and because for whatever reason it seemed scandalous that chris was asleep on a ferry. lastly i want to say - and flame me if you want - i think the picture of chris that is more from a distance that shows the lifeboats in the background is quite striking and beautiful...
